If anyone would like links to any of the available Original Trilogy preservations listed in hereā¦ send me a PM - thank you. š
---
Ā
^ So please do NOT make any ārequest for linksā posts in this thread - and actually send me a PM, instead. Thanks.
Ā
Ā
Note: You must be an active/participating member of the site; someone with 30+ posts - with no āshitpostsā or ālink requestā posts.
---
Ā
The reason why there is a 30+ post requirement for these 500+ projectsā¦ is to try and encourage members to engage more as a community on here - to join in with the discussions across the various forums. Maybe learning about how projects are made, and consider undertaking their own project - or just chill out and talk about the OT, the GFFA, and film & TVā¦ or life in general.
A bit like it used to be on here - before the influx of newer members only asking for links - not leaving any feedback or reviews - nor joining in with any of the discussions across the forums. Not even trying to help fellow members by answering questions or pointing them to relevant threads and useful info. Or often not bothering to read the rules about the place - or look up or learn on how to ask for a project on hereā¦ instead just filling up project threads with unnecessary ālink requestā postsā¦ and little else.
^ So this is an attempt to remedy thatā¦ to get back to how things used to function quite well on hereā¦ and also serve as a reminder that anyone can become a helpful and valued asset to the unique communityā¦ that is this old-school Rebel base. š
You donāt have to be a fan editor, preservationist, tech wiz, artistic or skilled etcā¦ just be a member that is making an effort on here.
Ā
ā Iāve had many PMs from people with 0-5 posts asking me for links to projects featured in hereā¦ Please stop - you are simply wasting your own time. I will NOT be giving out project links unless you have made 30+ posts on here. Thank you. ā
Ā
Ā
Edit: Iāve also had a few comments that the ā30 post requirementā isā¦ ātoo muchā, āgatekeepingā, is somehow āunfairāā¦ obviously I disagree! 30 posts is next to nothing - a post a day for a month, or a couple of posts a day over a fortnight, or a handful of posts a day in a weekā¦ isnāt exactly taxingā¦ and should likely be viewed as akin to becoming a part of the community here.
As an example / suggestion, many new members start making posts in the following āmain / popular / easy-to-post-inā threadsā¦

Fellow members are more likely to help you out if you are a participating member of the community here; you donāt have to be a fellow fan editor, preservationist, tech wiz, artistic or skilled etcā¦ just a member that has made, or is making, an effort.
It is also a good idea checking out the OT.com Forum Rules and Guidelines and Fan Edit / Preservation Forum Rules and FAQ.
