My wife and I are expecting! We're nine weeks in. Only two days of puking and very bad nausea, and we're wondering if it's just a stomach bug that has been going around. If that was it, then so far this is the mildest pregnancy thus far. Way to go, honey!
I have a really nice second crop of carrots in the fridge (dug them up today to make room for the onions) and this summer's tomatoes and peas growing on my bedroom windowsill.
Just took place in the longest spelling bee of all time (it's technically still going).
Of course, I only lasted until round three, but...

My teacher, who is a total ninja with all things concerning audio and also a Grammy-nominated record producer, recently invited me to intern at his recording studio. It's only been a few weeks but already extremely interesting, and a very valuable experience in many ways.
I really appreciate the confidence he has shown in me, and that he took notice of my dedication without my having asked for any favors (other than taking his class again so I could practice more). I don't know where this is going to lead me professionally, or if even anywhere, but it's a great opportunity nonetheless. I couldn't have asked for a better mentor, or a better friend.

Good news, good news...oh, yes, today my baby brother was baptized and I came second place in a speaking competition (though there were only five contestants at this level).
The first may not mean anything to most of you, but it's the more important one for me. :)
