Interesting and productive discourse lies in the reasonable space between protecting delicate flowers from the slightest offense and promoting a crude free-for-all. We aim to provide an open and lively discussion forum while keeping things civil, hence the following rules.

Edit: The official rules have been moved to the site Terms of Use. Please read them.

^ Looks like the second half of Rule #2 under general guidelines is gonna be tough for you warb, LOL.

?

I haven’t accused any new members of being socks for a while.

Author

Presumably he was referring to the “trolls” part of “trolls/socks.”

Author

I don’t think I’ve accused any new members of being trolls for a while either.

I assume that’s the part he’s referring to.

That’s the first half of #2, not the second half. If anything, Fo is the one guilty of the first half (as am I…?) by bringing up the fact that Warb was guilty of the second half.

WHY ARE WE EVEN HAVING THIS DISCUSSION?!?!

Fo did not accuse anyone of anything. It was simply a little ribbing. You make too much of something out of nothing.

That’s not true and you know it, but we’re going to get in trouble for this discussion.

at one point there was even a joke about starting a thread just to keep track of everybody you’ve accused of being a sock that was dismissed because it would be too much work to maintain.

Not the thread for this.

Where were you in '77?

You mean like forgetting to capitalize their name and forgetting the extra ‘e’ at the end?!

Biggot!

An amendment to the Forum Rules & Guidelines…

5. If you see any spam or spambot posts on the site please report/PM them to a Moderator asap (as you hopefully would if you saw anything else suspicious on here). Do NOT reply to, or quote, the spam or spambot - and do NOT click on any link they post.

Thank you.

what was hard rule #4 before?

Before a couple of years ago? I don’t know mate - may have been a different set of Rules & Guidelines. Jay posted this set up on December 2016.

Edit: It may be worth checking further down the ‘announcements section’ for older rules if interested?
