The ‘General Star Wars discussions’ section has been broken down into more manageable ‘bite-sized’ and group categories too - hopefully making it ‘easier to find’ some of the many various threads on here.

One of which is a new section for the ‘Original Trilogy films’ themselves, a ‘Star Wars scenes, tropes, meta etc’ category, a ‘Characters and Actors’ section, ‘Fandom discussion threads… part’, and a ‘Media and Collection & Memorabilia’ area too.

The ‘Archival / Historical discussions’ section has been separated into two ‘bite-sized’ chunks as well - one one the more historical aspects; the other re the people behind the scenes around the time of OT era…

Also added are some new threads to many of the other categories too.

A section for ‘The changes made to the Original Trilogy films over the years…’ - containing many sources of information on those numerous changes - has been added to the Index.

doubleofive’s insightful and comprehensive Complete Comparison of Special Edition Visual Changes thread, in the Theatrical Cuts vs. Subsequent Releases section of the site, contains links to many differing sources of information on the changes - as well as being the main reference point and discussion thread on the numerous changes.

So many great threads & links in here. Along with screams in in the void’s links thread, and the Theatrical vs Subsequent Releases forum I could easily get lost for hours on here.

The Index has been spruced up a little - as well as a bit of a re-organisation splitting it into four sections (Original Trilogy : Beyond the Original Trilogy : the EU : FAQs, Useful Links & Info) to hopefully try and make it a little easier to find content anyone may be looking for…

Also added are some categories to the Original Trilogy sections; characters, creatures, droids & aliens : gadgets & gizmos : ships & vehicles : places & settings : The Force etc.

Plus some threads re the home release formats of the OOT - videotapes and laserdiscs etc.

I was looking through the list and found a lot of individual threads about various documentaries (like f.ex. Michel Parbot’s ESB making of), but I couldn’t find one about these kinds of videos in general. If that doesn’t already exist, I figured it might be a good idea to make a thread similar to the “YouTube/Vimeo/etc… Star Wars finds” thread but focused only on old TV documentaries, making ofs, BTS segments, etc.

I see what you mean - there are the Must-See Documentaries? & What are your favorite OT documentaries? which are somewhat generic discussion threads… yet a central Documentary thread in a similar vein to the “YouTube/Vimeo/etc… Star Wars finds” would probably be both a welcome and useful addition.
