On offer at £1.25 for 5 pieces at Aldi - tastes better than those posh After Eights many rave about. 👍
Just ignore those red labels on the ‘food health bar’ 😉 Goes down well with either a cuppa or a tipple…
Hey gang, does anyone have the Fullscreen version they could DM me? I DM’d MJBenito last December but didn’t hear back.
It could be that…
Many editors & preservationists choose not to make their projects available to ‘hit & runners’ or people with a post history of mainly asking for various projects - which is completely up to them. That some people join up here looking to simply take - instead of give something back; not even leaving a simple ‘thank you’, feedback or review, or join in with the community here - and instead move on to asking for more projects… is not encouraged. Such requests may likely be ignored or deleted.
I think I have that one on an old hard drive somewhere - though I have to be honest… I’ve no inclination to go rooting around them all trying to find it for someone who hasn’t bothered to make an effort in participating with the community here.
Fellow members are more likely to help you out if you are a participating member of the community here; you don’t have to be a fellow fan editor, preservationist, tech wiz, artistic or skilled etc… just a member that has made, or is making, an effort.
Apologies if that appears harsh or overly blunt - yet a number of fan project creators and members have recently left here over this place becoming full of ‘link request’ posts - or people asking for links and nothing else… and even my own patience also grows thin. I do wish you good luck with acquiring it from others on here. 👍
Or to new members stating they cannot send a PM for the first 7 days here - and mistakenly think that entitles them to make ‘link request’ posts on here - instead of reading…

I do hope that MJBenito returns here soon - he is much missed - and not just for his many quality projects.

The blurb: ‘Jason Court was 31 when he landed the role in a unique chapter of Star Wars history—playing Kyle Katarn in the groundbreaking PC game Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II (1997), the sequel to the hit Dark Forces (1995). In this exclusive interview, Court reflects on how he got the part, what it was like shooting live-action cutscenes for a video game—a rarity at the time—and how the character of Katarn developed a cult following among fans. He shares behind-the-scenes memories, insights into the production, and thoughts on the legacy of the game that helped bridge classic Star Wars storytelling with a new era of interactive media.’

Hi everyone, longtime Star Wars fan (since early childhood) and recently heard about the D+77 project, it looks absolutely amazing. I own legal copies of the films, and would like to obtain access, for personal viewing if possible. Still finding my way around the forums. Google brought me here after I searched for information about the project, but I haven’t been able to locate any details on how to access it. Any help would be appreciated, many thanks!
They’re available on
Register an account and then you can download them.
Unless I am just blind, registration there requires an invite. Catch22 scenario.
They also aren’t available on the “typical” sources, and trying to get them from the oojason page requires at least thirty posts, and I’m not about to just start spamming posts that lack content just to get the required link.Been a fan of the series since the first time I saw A New Hope at the drive in as a child, but what else am I supposed to say that hasn’t already been said a dozen times over by others?
The information on how to get an invite code for TSWT forums is there for all to see. Even a little search on here comes up with that information (re invite codes) in several places on here - and also on TSWT forums themselves.
‘Spamming posts’? ‘what else am I supposed to say that hasn’t already been said a dozen times over by others?’…
^ Why not simply join in the discussions about the Original Trilogy - or the wider Galaxy Far Far Away? Or participate in the discourse here on film, tv, music, art, books & comics, gaming, tech, history, sports… or life in general etc? Read up on how some of the many fan projects on here are made / evolve / come together - leave some feedback or reviews for projects you have previously seen? Or check out the talented artists’ cover artwork, and budding authors’ stories, script-writing, and re-writes? Participate with the community here - as thousands of others have over the past 20+ years?
Or instead… join up, then complain about not being able to get the download links as quickly and easily as you wanted - and then attempt to give the all-too-familiar, lazy and entitled-sounding justification for not participating with the community here.
Well, good luck with it (you’ve likely found the information required to join TSWT forums by now). 👍
FYI to all, I don’t have links to any files. They are available as mentioned in the above posts.
I made what I wanted to make and have moved on. Thanks to everyone who helps carry on whatever legacy they may have.
Please don’t PM me for links as I don’t have any.
OTD
Wishing you all the best OTD - these are some quality projects you came up with and left for everyone to experience and enjoy.
Hope you return here one day - and that life is treating you well. 👍

ANDOR is the entry in the Star Wars franchise that most compellingly grapples with the romance and sacrifice that power revolutions. No stronger example exists than Ghorman. ‘It was simply mind-blowing’: readers remember seeing Star Wars for the first time - a pre-BFI screening article at The Guardian.
As the original 1977 theatrical version screens in London this week, fans recall being ‘blown away’ by their first impressions of the mesmerising space opera
A few snippets from online from tonight’s showings…
• ‘Star Wars fans, Kathleen Kennedy wants to assure you the BFI screening of the original cut is not illegal’ - x.com/JacobStolworthy/status/1933241261718184413 (with 90 second video clip; plus George’s ‘tinkering over the years’)
• ‘Here’s Kathleen Kennedy doing a surprise intro at the @BFI earlier, ahead of the #FilmOnFilm opening night screening of ‘Star Wars’, on a rare, original 1977 35MM IB Technicolor dye-transfer print (which was unsurprisingly awesome). 😊’ - x.com/blackdieseluk/status/1933239994027778417
• ‘There’s two very rare screenings today of #starwars 1977 @bfilff Here’s some of the merch on sale. 📸 #fanthatracker @markbass_81 . A couple of Fanthas were lucky enough to get tickets.!!’ - x.com/FanthaTracks/status/1933201970132570420
• ‘Thanks to @BFI for giving us the opportunity to watch the 1977 print of Star Wars. Such was the rarity of this, the president of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy was at hand to intro it. Took my 12 yr old son who saw it for the first time and loved it! A brilliant screening!’ - x.com/maljutley/status/1933262082096480504
• ‘A massive thanks to @BFI for the incredible screening of the 1977 theatrical version of Star Wars as part of their BFI on Film, Film Festival (12th-15th June). The atmosphere was electric on the South Bank!!! #BFIOnFilm #BFI #StarWars’ - x.com/Kidzcoolit/status/1933490461953466648
• ‘Had a great day yesterday at @BFI. Firstly, I was part of an expert panel called the “Star Wars Influence”. Then I got to see an original dye transfer print of Star wars on 35mm (pre a New Hope). Then got to rub shoulders with people across the film industry at the after party.’ - x.com/jamieswb/status/1933428377408458944 (Jambe Davdar)
• ‘Information I’ve just had from a friend whose @BFI already this morning. If you are thinking of trying to get a standby ticket from Star Wars tonight - Get in the queue now! He was there at 7.30 am and he was already 5th.’ - x.com/Scare158Steve/status/1933058035108491731
• 'Tonight, thanks to the @britishfilminstitute’s ‘FILM ON FILM’ season, a packed NFT1 was treated to a glorious original 1977 dye transfer IB Technicolor British release print of ‘Star Wars’. Yes, the original version before it was ever retitled ‘Episode IV: A New Hope’.
I was lucky enough to see the original release back when I was 3. Indeed, it was my first cinema trip. Tonight’s screening was a glorious jump back in time to when this space opera was just one stand-alone film, and it was magical to witness the groundbreaking effects of the time, the sheer ambition of it all. And yes, there was a huge round of applause when Han shot Greedo first.
The 2nd BFI Film On Film festival is on all weekend and there are so many treasures playing, so do check it out if you can.’ - https://www.instagram.com/p/DK0QQjvIZ2B/ (Edgar Wright)

www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLtfTrI8qRo - a 7 minute video from the BFI youtube channel.
The blurb: 'LucasFilm President Kathleen Kennedy visits BFI Southbank to introduce a screening of George Lucas’ galaxy-shaking space fantasy, from a glorious original 1977 dye transfer IB Technicolor British release print.
A long time ago, before it conquered the galaxy, captivated countless imaginations and forever shifted popular culture, George Lucas’ phenomenon began life as the magical tale of a young Jedi named Luke Skywalker, who joins with a pair of droids, a pilot, a Wookiee and an elder Jedi to rescue Princess Leia and help defeat Darth Vader and the dark side of the Force. In these very special screenings, we present the film exactly as experienced by audiences on its original 1977 release.
Screening from one of the precious handful of dye transfer IB Technicolor prints produced uniquely for the first British release, and preserved in the BFI National Archive, this has some of the wear that comes with an archive print, but its colour is gloriously unfaded. Truly unmissable.
This screening is part of the BFI’s 2025 Film on Film festival: https://whatson.bfi.org.uk/Online/default.asp?BOparam::WScontent::loadArticle::permalink=foff25 ’
Did anyone attend the other Star Wars offerings from the BFI earlier today - what were they like?
Hopefully we’ll see some more videos or articles on the screenings (and the other SW events) from the BFI themselves, too. 👍

BFI to screen Star Wars 1977 Theatrical Version - in ‘Original Trilogy Discussion’.
^ a few people have already weighed in with their experiences of seeing it tonight - hopefully we’ll see a few more in the next few days too. 👍
The BFI certainly know their stuff - and their film festivals are always a worthwhile experience - it seems this whole festival will be no different (with some amazing material being shown - not just Star Wars - workshops etc too).
^ not mine, sadly.

The blurb: 'In our latest Inside the Archive video we go far, far away - all the way back to 1977 - to examine an original IB Technicolor dye-transfer print of Star Wars (Dir. George Lucas, 1977), held in the BFI National Archive’s collections.

Edit: if anyone wants the link for 'The Matrix 1999 35mm 1080p Cinema DTS v2.0’ - the 21.4gb mkv file… send me a PM. Fellow members are more likely to help you out if you are a participating member of the community here; you don’t have to be a fellow fan editor, preservationist, tech wiz, artistic or skilled etc… just a member that has made, or is making, an effort.
These recent releases are truly fascinating to watch; the image is crisp, colours vibrant, faces are detailed and expressive - a joy to see many of the accomplished actors appearing in the series to the full, the detail of alien makeup & cosmetics, the VFX being so impressive, and the background text can even be seen probably for the first time outside of still photography…
…it feels like I am watching a high quality official HD release on blu ray or TV.
All credit and kudos to Leland Kovich - not only for the sheer amount of work undertaken for this endeavour - yet also for the quality. 👍

Any technical questions should likely be asked of… anyone but me… the ‘How-To’s and Technical Discussions’ section is your friend - some really beautiful and helpful people in there with all the positive waves - thank you. 😃

hey! I don’t have the ability to PM yet, as I just made this account!
You read the above information - and that’s the thing you came up with? Despite it clearly stating…
We’ve had an influx of new members signing up to request fan project links within project threads and then disappearing without participating further.
From now on, unless the owner of the project has explicitly instructed members to post requests for project links within their project thread, any link begging posts will be deleted without notice.
Yes, we know you can’t send PMs as a new member. That’s kind of the point. Think about it. However, you can read PMs sent to you by other members, so if they want to get in touch with you, they can.
Repeated violations of link begging will result in a ban.
There are many people doing the same thing I am
So you are aware yourself and others are also breaking the Site Rules and Guidelines, annoying the creators and members here with endless & unnecessary link request posts that have disrupted conversations on the projects themselves - queries, feedback, reviews, exchange of ideas, suggestions for future versions etc - to the point where a number of creators and members have left the community here because of it… and come up with the inept attempt at justifying making more ‘link request’ posts with… ‘other people are doing it too’.
All instead of simply waiting seven days and then sending a PM - and using that time to participate and engage with the community here.
Good luck with that. 👍

The blurb: 'In this video, we share the linen backing and restoration processes being performed on a “Star Wars” British Quad movie poster. This poster was done for a UK Client “Vintage and Modern Movie Art” who will be opening shop soon!
The Poster: The British quad poster for the 1977 film “Star Wars,” designed by Tom Chantrell, is an iconic piece of cinematic art renowned for its dynamic composition and vibrant color palette. Chantrell’s poster captures the essence of the film’s adventurous spirit, featuring dramatic depictions of Luke, Leia, and Darth Vader, set against a backdrop of space battles and starships. The artwork’s vivid and detailed style contributed to the film’s allure, helping to attract audiences with its promise of epic adventure and intergalactic intrigue. The blurb: ‘Andor doesn’t just lead into Rogue One it elevates it. This video breaks down how star wars’s Andor adds emotional depth, unforgettable character sacrifices, and masterful storytelling that redefines what a prequel can be.’
I was going to post this insightful and resonating video in one of the ‘general Disney+ era’ threads - though it does have relevance and agency also in discussing the Prequel films… especially the Prequel films… given their standing amongst many an old-skool OT fan. So, here it is. Hope you enjoy. Maybe someone out there is listening? 😉
(who may not understand some of the backlash against the PT films and George from ‘older’ Star Wars fans at the time - other than ‘they were mean to George’ and mistakenly casting blame on those critical of him for somehow ‘making George sell Lucasfilm’)
• Not only are there considerable discrepancies, retcons, and jarring issues between what was shown in the Prequel Trilogy in comparison to what had previously been stated and established in the beloved Original Trilogy films for some ~20 years prior:-
Original Trilogy vs The Prequels: inconsistencies, retcons, plot holes and discrepancies… : 50+ issues list
• There is also much of the Star Wars lore and history thrown out, altered, or retconned… for the new Prequel Trilogy. Some 20+ years worth of various material - all official and approved Lucasfilm - which expanded the Star Wars galaxy and engaged fans the world over that time who were all keen and eagerly wanting to know so much more about the Star Wars Universe. All that was thrown out George’s much-changed Prequel films; for content that was poorly explained - or was inconsistent to what had been previously established:-
Pre-PT era lore | an OT & EU scrapbook resource | additional info & sources welcome
• As well as the PT seemingly being so lacklustre at standing alone as actual films themselves… they require some 20+ years of numerous ancillary material to somehow ‘make the films better’. This is something obviously subjective - not everyone agree the ancillary material does achieve that - and is considered somewhat akin to ‘clutching at straws’ for many… in that no amount of ancillary material attempting to filling in the holes, ‘addressing issues’, ‘fixing problems’, or featuring content, that should have likely been… in the actual Prequel Trilogy films themselves.
• You then also have George quickly attempting to divide and gaslight fans because he could not accept the criticism and backlash that came his way for the Prequels; including his tone-deaf casual generalisations such as ‘younger fans love the PT - older fans do not’ type of comments - often ignoring that a number of younger fans also did not like the PT, and a number of older fans did actually rate them:-
• As well as George retconning and re-writing the official Star Wars history with some disingenuous comments and since debunked claims - to say nothing of underplaying or downright omitting the contributions of a number of people involved in the making of the Original Trilogy films:-
George Lucas: Star Wars Creator, Unreliable Narrator & Time Travelling Revisionist….
• George supressing the unaltered theatrical cuts of the iconic, pioneering, and landmark Original Trilogy… for his later ‘vision’ - whether that was his ‘vision’ for the 1997 release, 2004 release, 2011 release, or 2019 release. Despite none of the SE cuts being the vision of the two actual directors of two of the films that form the Original Trilogy - something George admits that only a director should be able to change. Yet was willing to do that for the 1997 vision; aka an admitted ‘test’ re CGI for the then-coming CGI-heavy Prequel films. Including, the many hypocritical statements re the importance of preserving films, culture of that time, and of film history in general:-
• And finally, albeit subjective, the Prequels were considered by many just not to be very good films - regardless of the sheer hype, marketing, and advertising campaigns by George for the Prequels to promote them - even employees involved in the promotion of the film acknowledged they made promo material that resembled a Star Wars movie that fans wanted - and not representative of the film they would soon actually get. Not good films at all. For many, that hasn’t changed - and likely won’t.
That is such a pity. What is often forgotten is that us ‘older’ fans eagerly anticipated the PT - wanting these films to be good, great, inspiring even; to sit right along up there with the Original Trilogy and the EU lore. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t to be.

Something the recent Season 2 ‘Light & Magic’ documentary never seemed to mention… was the poor quality CGI throughout the Prequel Trilogy films - along with the reasons for that. This was quite a jarring omittance by ILM / Lucasfilm - and very much in contrast to their highlighting and underscoring of the limitations practical effects (and the supposed end of practical effects) when CGI was starting to take off as covered in Season 1 of their L&M doc.
So, this is an attempt to highlight some of those issue-laden CGI scenes throughout the Prequels… (all in one centralised thread).
Poor quality CGI and CGI-affected shots & scenes in the Prequel Trilogy films…
Whether the CGI issues were physics-defying, just poorly executed, or somehow unfinished yet - still passing QC (quality control), having that familiar weightless/mass-less CGI effect, or overuse / density of CGI occurring in scenes to the point where the viewer has little to focus on, or the CGI not ‘interacting’ or blending with the human actors, or simply the quality of CGI helping take the viewer out of immersion of viewing the film.
Which is all quite surprising given George himself saw this technology as having reached the levels ready to achieve what he couldn’t previously do with practical effects or CGI effects for what he had in mind for the Prequel Trilogy films…
Peezos! The greenie green ones are best.
They finally released it 😃 …
