Hmm... can anyone tell me how to play Fallout 2?  I made my character a "small arms" expert, which apparently means I can't use my spear for crap.

I got through the temple after what was about 5 spear swings for every 1 hit, and then only doing 1-4 damage each time.

Now I'm in the wilderness and running away from geckos.  Is this game supposed to be more fun?  When do I get a gun?

I loaded this game on my PC again since I've been having so much fun in FO3...  but I can't seem to get into it.  Again.  In fact, I think I was quite a bit further last time before I gave up.

Okay!  I have the DVD in hand.  My bud did a good job, with chapters, etc... but I think there are improvements that could be made here.  I have a passing interest to replace the music with CD quality stuff instead of the mono-ripped VHS quality that we have.

Any suggestions on the best way to rip this and upload it?

Torrent or filesonic?

.iso or rip?

I think the term "splitscreening" may have been used by me once.  But then I think 005 used it in his normal "try to write it uninnuendoously... can't, so screw it" way and I called him on it and made it dirty.

Or maybe not... nothing several hours of flicking through the Videogame thread won't solve.  Start around March 2011.

Looks like I was somewhat right, but mostly wrong.  005 used it, trying to be innocent.  Frink called him on it.  And I backed him up.  There you have it.

Good points, TheoOdo!  Most excellent.  I agree with most of them.

Regarding the time line... discounting the PT for a moment (a moment that lasts for eternity!  buwhahahahahaha!), how long would it take to build one of these moth3rs? 

It's kind of a stupid question because you can't really answer it with any appeal to Earth based logic- because Earth based logic says the thing requires too many resources to build- would require the complete demolition of several planets (probably) just to have enough metal just to get started.

But one thing is clear:  It's either a typo, or someone decided that DSII was RIDICULOUSLY bigger than DSI. (if you believe the "official" numbers, that is)

Which is kind of easy to see how it was so ridiculously large, given that it's in RotJ... but what about the Super Star Destroyer?  Seems like Kurtz would have reigned that one in... if he had any say on the matter.  That one is also so big as to just be silly.

(*whew*  Almost had to type this a third time!  Apparently I wasn't logged in, so it made me log in and reset the reply form.  Good thing I could 'back' my way up to it.  Or else the third version would have basically said "Screw it, I give up!")
