Which Batman film is your favorite?

Batman is my favorite superhero and has been for some time.  Which Batman film is your favorite and why?  I like Batman Begins best, yes, even over the usual favorite, The Dark Knight.  The main reasons for this are probably a) the greater clarity of the story, wheras TDK has more loose ends, gimmicks, and overly hectic pace; and b) Batman Begins explores the psychology of Batman/Bruce Wayne far more, tells a fantastic origin story as well as a primary conflict in two acts, both sufficiently long and detailed to not feel rushed, yet tied well enough together to make a cohesive film.

Your thoughts, please?

Oh no, someone activated the darth_ender bot and it's trying to destroy the off-topic section with cloned Batman threads.

Again.

You will not. None of us will, except for a very old and dying Ziggy Stardust who will watch it through teary eyes as he remembers us all.

Of course you are referring to her fashion sense, not her natural "talents."

I thought he was admiring her "cooking".

It's only a movie Frink, I can't walk inside it and seduce her and if I could with 100% chance of success I'm spoken for but if I wasn't, and I could step into films and Michelle was keen I wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating canneries.

Why would she eat a place where things are put into cans?

More importantly, how would she eat a place where things are put into cans?

yeah, if you are talking about spoofing Batman.  But if you are talking serious Batman,  Christian Bale is the best by far.    My favorite serious Batman is The Dark Knight, it had the comic feel that the others don't have.   Batman Begins is a close 2nd.

No, Val Kilmer's the worst.  Christian Bale is more than just "Grunt growl grumble growl grunt".    If Christian Bale is so bad, how come his batman movies are rated so highly?

btw,  darth_ender,  why did you create 3 threads to discuss the exact same subject and start off all three threads with the exact same post?

Beats me, I don't like 'em.  But my guess is people like them despite Bale, or at least despite his Batman.

I'd like to say simply to see how many questions and comments I could get about it.

A better explanation would be because I was at a McDonald's with a poor internet connection and it kept saying the post didn't go through.  Then I checked and realized it went through three times.

But let's say the real reason I did it was so I could get Frink to notice me.  I live for attention from him ;P

West's Batman was a very good realisation of a particular era.

If you take the film and television shows and hold them up to comics of roughly the same time they have practically the same tone and look.

So he isn't a spoof, it's just that Batman was genuinely camp and colourful silly fun back then.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned this in at least one other ender Batman thread (hi ender!) but I hated Bale's Batman.  I hated Sandman.  I hated that Gordon becomes an action star.  I hated the vehicle designs.  I hated Mrs. Tom Cruise.  I thought Ledger was overrated.  I'm not really a Batman fan to begin with - more of a Burton fan, I guess.

Enough?
