I think with the Filoni movie i just no longer care. Luke, Han and Leia can show up deaged and i’m already more than half completely done with Star Wars. I’m sticking around for Andor. Or for the potential of episodes 10 11 and 12. Maybe the Rey movie depending on whether its compelling. But sick of the marvelization of SW.
I’m kind of sick of Filoni/Favreau Mandoverse.

It was interesting watching John Boyega on happy sad confused talking about the Disney sequel trilogy, and his hopes for Daisy’s movie and his candor about it not potentially getting made.
It’s time for Star Wars to move beyond the legacy characters.
“I am so grateful to George [Lucas] for letting me be a part of that back in the day, the humble days when George called ‘Star Wars’ ‘the most expensive low-budget movie ever made. We never expected it to become a permanent franchise and a part of pop culture like that. But my deal is, I had my time. I’m appreciative of that, but I think they should focus on the future and all the new characters.”

I’m not surprised by his decision since he already retired the role In the Last Jedi, came back for a cameo in Rise of Skywalker. And for those two deepfake Luke episodes.
It’s a bit presumptuous though to say you won’t be in a movie that isn’t greenlit or fast-tracked and may not even get made.
I’m not convinced Luke won’t Return in Dave’s movie. Only that Mark is done and has been for a while.

They’ve shelved and cancelled far too many projects.
Where is the Lando movie.
What about Rian Johnson’s trilogy.
They must pretend Rogue Squadron never was a thing as well.
Years spinning the wheels with nothing to show for it.
Zero films.
I know someone will say Mando and Grogu well I’m not interested in Mando and Grogu.
So… is the only real movie The Mando one or is that going to be cancelled after the fact WB style?
