ok here's a pass at a list:
%20's SW Media List
http://noneinc.com/Archive/StarWarsMedia/SWMediaList.html
((((Updated here: http://noneinc.com/Archive/FlimsiplastDatabase/))))
At this point, besides giving other titles, please critic the layout and category choices. I differ from most of you, in that this list is something which i would hope would include everything SW related. [And then those listings/database could be searchable for documentaries. But that requires database/web/skillz. (anyone got any?)]
Anyway, the list is divided as follows:
1. The Movies (SW:ANH, SW:IV, SW:V, SW:IV, SW:I, SW:II, SW:III)
___A. In each of these categories
______1) The film version & any variation to original presentation, ie the theater experience
______2) any official released version (VHS, LD, DVD, etc. maybe add TV airings here too)
______3) any specials aired at around that time
______4) any Fan Preservation Versions
______5) any Fan Edit Versions
2. Trilogy Specials - Mainly focus on the Movies, these are where most of the documentaries will show up
3. Expanded Universe - Holiday Special, Droids, Ewoks, Clone Wars, etc.
4. News/Interviews/Reports - these are similar to the Trilogy Specials, but they might wander (like how most Lucas interviews start to talk about the business of LFL) so i made another category
5. Related Specials - This is the catch all category.
6. Actors Specials - shows which might have alot of SW content but are about a specific person
7. Fandom - documentaries on fandom, Fan films would end up here too
8. Foreign Take/Rip Offs - Copyright Infringement is your best entertainment value
I got hung up at times trying to figure out where to place individual titles in the categories i've created.
Otherwise the presentation is a direct lift from vcdquality since i'm a fan of having too much information on the screen at one time. Presentation wise, there's a site where they have individual entries like vcdquality, but when you click on one, it expands to provide further info. (might be isohunt) that would be the dream presentation. otherwise, having a one page for each title, to provide basic info & an example pic would be a further step.
but at this point take a look, see what you like, what you don't like. feel free to make the info into something useful.
(use the find command, if something doesn't end up where you thought it should have been)

I see now that SKot mentioned to post them in chronological order, which seems like a good idea now.... will edit as time permits.
Episode II: Shroud of the Dark Side
“Back when we made Star Wars, we just couldn’t make Palpatine as evil as we intended. Now, thanks to the miracles of technology, it is finally possible. Finally, I’ve created the movies that I originally imagined.” -George Lucas on the 2007 Extra Extra Special HD-DVD Edition
Thanks for the feedback DarthAstuart, I began a revision:
http://noneinc.com/Archive/StarWarsMedia/SWMediaListVer2.html
((((Updated here: http://noneinc.com/Archive/FlimsiplastDatabase/))))
It's greatly simplified, and is in chonological order. (year/month/day) At the moment i'm envisioning that this page will list everything, very simple and straight forward, then the "Info" category will link to another document which will contain show specifics. Everything from basic information (who, what, when, description, imdb link, synopsis, various searches, etc.) to the different forms it's been preserved in. (check out vcdquality.com for their individual entry pages, i'm going to copy from them to start)
As for the basic listing page, i'm slowly getting away from the color key (maybe ver3 will remove it) but i would like to maintain someway to differentiate between cannon, official, semi-official and fan activities. Is it enough that fan preservation versions would only be mentioned in the individual Entry pages? (i think this is what you we're alluding too) So most likely the Type category will disappear. Spacewise there's room on this main page for other info, which would be important enough to show up here?
I don't think there will be so many releases that splitting them up by year into different pages would be necessary, i've left a bar (which has a link to, so if your at the top of the page you can quickly click to a year later in the document) for each of the major years. Most likely for each movie release year.
One way to have it so that the complete listing can be viewed on the same page with the individual entries would be to use frames:
http://noneinc.com/Archive/StarWarsMedia/SWMediaMain.html
((((Updated here: http://noneinc.com/Archive/FlimsiplastDatabase/))))
That will give you some sense of how that might work. thus each entry would have a link which would end up in the Entry Section below.
At the time being, just getting a list is all i'm going to focus on. If i have to start worrying about tracking down copies nothing will get done and it will bog down the thread. as you'll find on this site, there is an active trading network in play. time will flush out odd material.
As for help, at the moment just provide feedback on the set up. Feel free to do a save as and muck around with what's been done. Once everyone's satisfied with the bones, then we can all type type type all the information in.
Having filtering capabilities, means having a database system. (PHP? is that the correct terminology?) I personally don't know it, but would be happy to learn it, need some guidance, i don't know where to start. It would be great if a database could be set up, and anyone could add information, like how wikipedia works...
...could we use wikipedia? Anyone have any experience with their system?
Here's their 'Star Wars' entry:
