As any longtime ot.com member knows, I prefer a light touch when it comes to forum moderation. Recent activity has demonstrated that my "community standard" method of moderating content and behavior is no longer effective.

From this point forward, the following simple rules apply:

1. No personal attacks.
2. No excessive profanity.
3. Stay on topic.
4. No image-only posts unless the image has a direct bearing on the topic at hand and it adds value to the discussion.

These rules apply to all forums except Off Topic. Basically, if you want to act like a moron, do it in Off Topic. I don't care what happens in there and most complaints logged against moronathons in Off Topic will be ignored.

For all other forums, these rules will be enforced strictly. You get one warning, then a temporary ban, followed by a permanent ban.
