Cracking tunes from the time, some great pacing and tension - and a welcome throwback to how life was back then 😃

This off camera meeting was actually planned ahead of time so it wasn’t like he was hiding for some dubious purpose. The condition of the meeting was that there was no video feed recorded.

Sean Spicer spent several minutes hiding in bushes - and in fact it seems he was hiding for a dubious purpose - in that he didn’t want to be filmed for a meeting taking place - which was agreed upon by the media present during his time whilst hiding in the bushes.

Actually I believe part of the article is incorrect. I saw the opening of this interview before I turned to something different (before the cameras went off). John Roberts said they were just waiting for this briefing and they might get permission for audio recording. Sean Spicer was nowhere to be seen on the stage by the sets but everything else had been arranged prior. I did not see that woman they say came out.

So I don’t know that it really matters but what I saw and how it is reported starting here is a little different.

Again, what you believe is irrelevant - let’s just try and stick to the facts, yes? and not pass off opinion/belief as the fact, eh?

What the article says is NOT incorrect - and there was no pre-arranged meeting/briefing for those media waiting - as the Press Staff had stated that he may do a briefing - though that he (Spicer) definitely wouldn’t be saying more that night.

Spicer has just finished a pre-arranged outside interview with Fox Business - but to get back to his office he would have to pass a waiting media wanting questions to their answers - Spicer then hid in a bush! so it had not ‘been arranged prior’ as you claim.

I haven’t found anything that proves this has been confirmed one way or the other so I don’t know why Rachel Maddow would even suggest it has been.

That you haven’t found anything doesn’t not preclude from the event happening, nor the story from being true, nor that the actual claim that Comey requested more money and staff, from being newsworthy in itself, does it?

By the way, although the article is featured on the Rachel Maddow blog - it is actually by Steve Benen - as stated in the actual article.

So from that article Rachel Maddow has suggested nothing.

I misspoke actually. He was an employee at the UK Ministry Of Defense charged with the UFO research and sightings.

Only in Nick Pope’s mind. He was the man at the MoD who collated UFO sighting reports and enquiries from the public - as to try and ascertain whether any of them had any ‘defence significance’.

For example, farmer Bob saw one of the RAF’s new test planes late last night on the way back from the pub and thinks it was from another galaxy - Pope would record/sift farmer Bob’s statement. Said plane would then not fly near where farmer Bob’s (or from other people in the area) reports of UFO’s again.

Also, if it wasn’t one of the ‘ours’ etc then it’d noted and likely investigated as to find out whose plane it was, or if just a pilot off-course etc.

All the files are now declassified (and some were at the time of writing) and available at the UK National Archives.

He’s made a good career out for himself though since he quit the MoD over 20+ years ago as a ‘self-styled UK Mulder’ and UFO expert - and can write a decent fiction book. Fair play to him.

Then again, many people big up or exaggerate a bit what they do for a living…

Years ago, to try to make sure my old custom dvd covers were the right size, all aligned up correctly, and the cover itself looked ‘ok’ - I used to do a test print on my old home printer; I’d copy my image file to a MS Word file and then select ‘draft quality’ settings on normal A4 paper, and print it, then cut it out to size and fit it into a dvd case.

Think it saved me a few £££’s on the ink (as well as time and effort) I’d have wasted otherwise 😃

Will actuall try this! Great idea.

Here is the image (orange outline) white she is flip side of a standard blu ray cover. This is how much it over sized.

Oh and the part at top right that looks like it hangs over, it’s just bent up, it’s actually aligned.

Definitely a bit more than 1.5mm in difference on the spine size there mate 😉

I used to have a couple of issues with the size of my dvd covers bring too small when printing off from MS Paint back in the day before my MS Word file ‘trick’ - but never had a problem with it printing too large a cover.

Hopefully it’s just a one-off mistake by the printer lad at Kincos?
