Rian Johnson has confirmed The Last Jedi’s runtime is 2 hours 30 minutes. It’s officially the longest Star Wars film yet.

Prediction I think we will see anakin skywalker and Yoda I think it will be the puppet from empire strikes back
Unless somebody at the Lucasfilm archive got things mixed up and sent CPY to England by mistake. 😉

No matter how I take this, it’s funny.
Will Finn and Rey find the puppet used in ESB? Was it just Snoke with a hand puppet the whole time?
Or will the film makers use the decrepit, rotting old puppet from 1980 and try to make us think it’s still Yoda? “Well, the puppet used in TPM was too creepy and the you hated the CGI version, so here’s the real deal! The one you like!”
Was it just Snoke with a hand puppet the whole time?
I love this.
No puppet, no puppet. Snoke’s the puppet.
I’m sure some sculpts or molds for classic Yoda still exist and could be used to replicate a new puppet. Even if they were too fragile to cast from again they could be digitally scanned and 3D printed?

I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.

^Improper quote warning, one demerit issued.
Can I now get at least partial credit?

There’s no gaining of credit, only losing of credit. :p
Leaked test footage of new improved Yoda puppet. 😉

What is going on… is that a Boglin?

And the final run time is 151 minutes, so the “2h30m” talk that’s been going around wasn’t rounding up or down very much at all.
151 minutes? That’s longer than Star Wars!
Empire was also longer than Star Wars. Rehash! Can’t Disney do anything right?

Hasn’t the runtime been known for a while? When I bought my tickets in early October it was listed as exactly that - 151 minutes.

Fascinating. The first prototype is a bit odd, so hopefully they’ve honed the design.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

All I ever saw/heard was “2 and a half hours,” which isn’t super specific (I’ve seen movies of 140m-160m called “2 and a half hours”). BBFC length listing is as accurate as you can get though (and since it’s not a listing for a DVD release, there’s no PAL speedup to account for).

Probably. It’s from Thumb Wars which I think one can find on youtube these days. I wonder if I should scare up a copy for Frink’s future edits? 😉

Guess there isn’t any head butting going on, which is where AOTC got into trouble. And I thought the ratings board here in the U.S. was weird. 😉

You know there’s going to be half an hour’s worth of trailers in front. I think I had to sit through twenty minutes of stuff in front of GOTG 2 last summer. I’ve read people groaning about the number of trailers in front of Coco plus the Frozen short, which really isn’t short at all. It was supposed to be a tv special and they slapped it on a defenseless Pixar movie.
Let us hope they don’t surprise us with a Porg cartoon or something.
Remember kids, don’t order the extra large soda at the snack counter for this one!
