Hum… not convinced. At all. But could be fun. The main storytelling seems shitty as usual (“this is a rebellion. I rebel”, oh this is embarrassing…) but visually I can enjoy a few action sequences.
If nothing else, the shot of the star destroyer has sold me on the look. It is miles better than the one in TFA.

looked awesome, but I have my doubts on having yet another hardass-y self-sufficient i-dont-want-your-help type female character as the lead. Not that I have anything wrong with that, mind you. It’s just that they just did that exact same thing with Rey in VII.
It’s a bit jarring to get used to the completely different style of cinematography, but it definitely evokes a “less movie, more realism” type of look.
And damn, does that Death Star look good! It almost looks like the original practical model.
This is going to be a VERY DIFFERENT movie, and I’m excited to check it out.
Decent trailer but damn am I disappointed that there was no Vader 😦
I’m glad to see that Mon Mothma wasn’t a CG recreation of Caroline Blakiston and was instead played by a new actor. Hopefully we’ll get something similar with Tarkin.
(I was also surprised by the inclusion of a Grand Admiral. Wasn’t that whole white uniform thing invented by Timothy Zahn in the Thrawn trilogy?)
All in all though, I’m actually intrigued by this film for the first time.
(Some of the dialogue seemed a tad corny, but this is teaser trailer, so I won’t really put to much though into that for now.)

this is like complaining about U-boats and P-51 Mustangs in a WWII movie. It’s set the same year as ANH, should they have completely redesigned everything and avoided tying it in with any recognizable characters whatsoever? Or do you think they should be setting these new movies so far away in the timeline that they would bear no connection with the original stories beyond the words “Star Wars” in the title? Honestly, these hypothetical “original” and “creative” films everyone claims to want sound completely joyless to me.

Seemed much more like a full trailer than a teaser. Definitely looks promising so far.

The Death Star shot looked rather like Ady’s to these eyes.
All the AT-ATs have Cylon windows now.
I think this could turn into the real Episode 3. It looks incredible… Mustn’t get too optimistic 😄
I am reminded of Archie Goodwin’s film adaptations and newspaper strips in that everything we have seen before is very closely reconstructed but there is a lot of new and interesting stuff thrown in there too. It feels like the same universe but seen from another set of characters point of view which is exactly what the PT should have been.
The guy in the white water resistant cape looks like 1970s Ian McKellen.
I wonder if the rumors about them filming with the Ultra Panavision lenses were true. This teaser is in 2.39:1, not the 2.76:1 Hateful Eight was. Will there be two different theatrical releases, one wide, one super-wide?
