Help: looking for... jambedavdar's trilogy - and some of the best edits around...

Hi, I’m new to this forum. I’ve been reading some topics and I think originaltrilogy.com is a great place for the true fans of the original Star Wars films.

I’ve been lucky enough to see an awesome fan edit. Jambedavdar’s “Star Wars Begins” and I enjoyed a lot. However, I would like to own “Building Empire” and “Returning to Jedi”. I haven’t seen both of them.

I tried to get them on a.b.starwars but the files were posted too long ago. Can anyone repost both Fan Edits on a.b.starwars? I would be very thankful!!!

I’ll be reading about other fan edits on the forum, cause I don’t really know the other edits. Maybe you guys can advice me on the best Fan Edits around?

Thanx!

May the force be with y’all!!!  😃

Been a huge fan since I saw Episode IV in 1977 at the cinema in Barcelona, Spain!!

Thanks, Ziggy.

To all members:

I noticed there are quite a few Fan Edits. Besides Jambedavdar's trilogy, which ones are the most appreciated by the fans? Can anyone advice me on that?

Thanks for the input!

A fan edit, to me anyway, is a version of a film which has been re-edited using different decisions in the selection and combination of shots to make an alternative presentation of the story.

I wouldn't call Jambe Davdar's projects "fan edits", a more accurate description would be fan-made documentaries.

Other fan projects that get appreciation here are "preservations" - a recording from an obsolete format, "custom DVDs" -  fan-made discs with technical improvements over the official release, and "restorations" - combining various sources in an attempt to recreate a lost version of a film. You can find details of these types of project in this forum.
