Anyway, sorry for literally being a girl but I just want to say that regardless of how much nonsense some of you type that I love you all. You’re the only people in my life that talk about the stuff I like to talk about and without this place I’d just be walking around the house discussing Star Wars with my soft toys. Sometimes I look at past discussions and debates that I’ve had over my tenure here. As a fairly hypercritical person, I’m always quite stunned by how much I’m dismayed at my past self for the way he made certain points or the way he argued things or the way he said something. Past me and I have significant disagreements, maybe not on the issues being discussed, but how they were discussed. I wonder how often I take my self-criticisms to heart — am I getting better? The truth is, we’re all a work in progress. A few months down the line, I’ll look at things that happened around this time, including most likely this very post, and make some more criticisms of myself, and the cycle will repeat itself in an almost methodical and predictable way.

I didn’t know where to put this so I’m leaving it here. I’m so done with the recent behaviours that have been exhibited on this forum. I joined this community when I had just turned 15 and this whole time I’ve tried to blend in to a community made up of (and run by) predominantly adults but it appears to me that so many frequent users of the forum that have been around for many years are starting to behave in ridiculous and immature ways that lower my level of respect for the entire community as a whole. If I were a moderator of this site, I’d be so torn on whether or not to ban certain members permanently based on their recent posts regardless of their status on this forum. I stopped posting on here for pretty much an entire year when TFA came out and a bunch of super young kids, trolls, and random goofs joined and started fucking shit up on every thread by starting shit and creating the sock epidemic which was painful to sit through, eventually essential members such as adywan decided to become much less active and/or take breaks from this place because of how stupid this place became. I came back recently right after seeing TLJ and this time it’s so much worse, not many new members have come to cause a problem (yet) but instead the content of the film has divided so many of us and caused many immaturely resolved arguments along with personal attacks, this behaviour is some fucking outrageous outcome of a star wars movie. I, myself, am split on many aspects of the film but why on earth are people doing things to get banned or to harm each other over it? This is ridiculous, I used to love this site and I know I haven’t interacted with many of you for a long time but I’m genuinely ashamed to be on this site right now. Ugh.

Does David Lynch have a device he attaches to his head, causing his films to emerge onto celluloid straight from his brain pan?
