Return Of The Jedi - a 'Behind The Scenes / Making Of' images thread
Time

^ Please feel free to post up images from deleted scenes too mate - all in the ‘Making Of’ of these great films (and I changed the thread’s OP to include / mention it) 😃

Nice one, benduwan 👍

There are a handful of ‘Deleted Scenes’ threads that can be found in the ‘Star Wars scenes, tropes, meta etc…’ section of An Index & Help Thread for Original Trilogy Discussion… - though there are no other ‘Deleted Scene’ image threads that I can find… (I hope to be wrong on that).

Darth Madness' Episode 1 fan edit (Completed)

It’s the same. That thread got buried quickly.

Hi and welcome to the site Darth Madness.

I’ll delete the other thread as we usually only have one thread per project on here (it stops the board from being filled up with repeated threads etc).

Good luck with the Edit - I hope it goes well mate 😃

In case you wanted to use any of the content from your other original Edit thread, I’ve posted it below…

Darth Madness said:

I’ve recently completed my version of Star Wars : Episode I. It was my goal was to not only remove the cheese as done quite well by the anti-cheese edit and Shadow of the Sith, but also remove spoilers for the original trilogy. For example, what Yoda looks like, etc. I’d be happy to share with anyone who would like to have a copy. I can post my comprehensive list of changes if anyone is interested and it will also be up on a few sites tomorrow. Please let me know the best way to distribute. An email with the file in google drive? A link to the websites that it will be uploaded to? I’m open to suggestions.

Return Of The Jedi - a 'Behind The Scenes / Making Of' images thread
Time

Return Of The Jedi - a ‘Behind The Scenes / Making Of’ images thread…

A companion thread (of sorts) for the Original Trilogy Film Crew & People Behind The Scenes: Profiles, Info & Links… thread - which aims to highlight the sheer brilliance, hard work, talent and awesome contributions of the Original Trilogy film crew, designers & artists, model-makers, special effects, set production, costume & make-up, stuntmen (and women), background actors / extras, publicity, and other amazingly talented and dedicated people who worked ‘Behind The Scenes’ on ‘The Making Of’ these three classic, landmark and groundbreaking Star Wars films…

…some of which may not have been seen for many years - as their respective work (all - or parts of) has been removed and replaced via the later (and continuing) Special Edition changes - with the unaltered original theatrical version of the films remaining unavailable to officially buy and experience.

Or just a thread for putting up some great ‘Behind The Scenes / Making Of’ pics from the films (including deleted scenes too) 😃

There are two similar threads for the other films in the Original Trilogy below:-

Star Wars (1977) - a ‘Behind The Scenes / Making Of’ images thread

Empire Strikes Back - a ‘Behind The Scenes / Making Of’ images thread

So if you have a cool, rare, alternative, different or favourite ‘Behind The Scenes / Making Of’ photo or image (or any other BTS info), please share and talk about it, in here…

All credit to mykyta, Abel & Biggs for suggesting making these three promising BTS image threads.

Ultimate Star Wars Chronological Marathon
Time

Fair play to you Rodney - and that is an impressive list.

It is your list and how you want it of course, yet I personally like to ignore the canon thing - if Lucasfilm made or released it (Holiday Special, Caravan Of Courage, Battle For Endor, Droids, Ewoks, 2003 Clone Wars) then they shouldn’t take it away - seemingly almost hiding it…

…they put these releases out there for us to experience and buy at the time - along with the all various tapes, discs, toys and merchandise etc - then they shouldn’t ask us more or less to forget about them.

For me they should release them once in a while just for us all to watch again on whatever various modern format is available. Or, as there is indeed a market for these films & shows, and now they have a substantial distribution platform in Disney+ too… all these so-called ‘non-canon’ releases could quite easily be screened up on there if they so wanted.

As I say - it is your ultimate re-watch list - so you have what you want on it mate 😃

Poll: which ship would you wanna fly?
Time

^ There is another… 😉

My personal favourite - and a great ship to pilot in the games - yet also doesn’t get much recognition in general amongst the more popular X-Wing, Y-Wing, Falcon and TIE conversations. A classy and elegant ship… from a more civilised time…

The B-Wing

I don’t remember it doing this though (from ‘Star Wars: Rebels’? pretty cool, all the same):-

Mandatory (😉) Rogue Squadron game blurb:-

“One of the Rebellion’s well-armed starfighters - the B-Wing has been personally designed by Admiral Ackbar. The B-Wing supports an array of weapons including ion cannons, proton torpedo launchers and laser canons. Because the cockpit is surrounded by a unique gyro-stabilisation system the pilot always remains stationary - even as the rest of the ship rotates during flight.”

Edit: sweet A-Wing post above too, Fated 😃

Did you not spend far too much time years ago playing Rogue Squadron games and using your harpoons and tow cables at AT-ATs to circle around to bring them down before finally getting the hang of it - and then achieving Gold Medal status…?

Bloody hell people, did Dak die for nothing? 😉

^ I battled the Empire in my Snowspeeder way back in 1982 , years before the Rogue Squadron games and was the undisputed champion of my household . Played many times the cartridge would get hot to the touch !..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiSY3pt8jZY Love me some Snowspeeders !

Respect for the old-skool games and gamers (and lack of fingerprints from touching overheating cartridges and gaming units back in the day) 😃

Did you not spend far too much time years ago playing Rogue Squadron games and using your harpoons and tow cables at AT-ATs to circle around to bring them down before finally getting the hang of it - and then achieving Gold Medal status…?

“The Snowspeeder, modified with armoured plating, stronger outboard laser canons and a harpoon tow cable for the rear gunnner is not a true flightcraft - but a repulsorcraft - so the flight ceiling is quite low. It hugs the ground well and is also quite maneuverable - but the addition of deflector shields was deemed costly and time-consuming - so watch yourself! The controls are quite similar to the X-Wing - so don’t worry about additional training.”

C’mon people, did Dak die for nothing? 😉

I would have used the recently necro-bumped X-Wing or Y-Wing, which ship would you prefer? - but that thread is really for X-Wing and Y-Wing ships (as its title suggests) - hence the bump for this thread…
