It’s back up now mate, it says:-

"Team Negative1 has disbanded

  1. February 2016 23:25 by Team Negative One | 0 Comments

Effective immediately, there is no more Team Negative1.
We will finish up whatever we can, and people will continue working on projects,
when they can. But there will be no more new releases under that name.

Individual people like Harmy, Dre and others will contribute, but that will be it.

Thanks for all the comments, and attention.

We hope you have enjoyed our projects, and look forward to others continuing their projects.

Did TN1 give any specific reasons as to why they disbanded anywhere? I mean, everything they did was legal. They weren’t going to get in trouble just because they were a team effort. Now I’m afraid that I’ll never see the Technicolor release or the '97 SE release.

Agreed. The Tech print looked like a wonderful thing. I think it’s probably a good idea to decentralise and abandon the team name and the website. Perhaps the SSE was a bit ostentatious. Hopefully the great work can continue but without the fanfare surrounding releases and the consequent media attention. Good work all who help make these possible. I hope we’ll see the fruits of your labour despite this setback.

So what you meant to say was that they claimed everything they did was legal. As long as N1 was a member of TN1, I wouldn’t believe a single thing they said without proof.

I’ve had a conversation with a certain team member. Out of concern for privacy I won’t get into detail as to what was specifically said, but in a nutshell my understanding is that nothing is really changing and the various projects will (for the most part) still be worked on individually, they’re just not going to be called “Team Negative 1” and work as such.

Sounds good to me. After this long and this twinkling of success, it would be an odd time to just full stop. I look forward to whatever comes from the project, however they go about it from here out, as long as it does keep going.

Understood you can’t say much more, but given this statement from their site: “There has been no illegal or acquired scans or prints that have been unauthorized.”
Do you think it will never see the light of day, or that it’s just less likely now?

I had a good feeling that it was related to the Tech print. They most likely just didn’t have permission of the “owner” to scan it.

EDIT: Or they just decided that the environment of OT.com just wasn’t right for me.
