Yeah that’s why we were all confused about why you mentioned it in the first place.

By the way the Lord of the Rings movies hadn’t come out yet when I was ten.

Apparently Golf Story for Switch came out today. Looks like a pretty good game. Kind of an RPG with a golf theme. People compare it to the Mario Golf series, but I’ve never played those so I dunno.

It hadn’t come out yet when I was ten.

[Lord of the Rings: The Third Age was] such a great game. Wish this was also for PC.

Okay, I thought you were asking what good LOTR and HP games we could recommend to you; not just commenting in general. Obviously you know then what games there are, and/or you have played them, so why would you ask about our recommending them?

You should phrase yourself better so people know more clearly the purpose of your post.

Also, you still haven’t clarified what being ten or 1989 has anything to do with Harry Potter. Harry Potter was born in 1980. He didn’t go to Hogwarts until he was 11, in 1991. And the first Harry Potter novel wasn’t published until 1997.

Super Mario World for the SNES hadn’t come out in 1989 and it’s a great game so none of this makes any sense.

Recommended Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings games for PS2, GameCube, GBA, DS, PC?

Lord of the Rings: The Third Age, for GameCube and PS2.

It’s an RPG centering around another party (not the Fellowship) in Middle Earth whose adventures bring them across the path or in contact with the Fellowship itself. The idea for the game was that the Fellowship’s actions are fixed exactly to what they do in the books or movies, so exploration in an RPG as themselves would be limited. However, following someone who is following the Fellowship allows you to go where they went but you can also wander off on a tangent if you want.

Such a great game. Wish this was also for PC.

Never got to play Third Age but there’s a similar game called War in the North that I adore. You’re part of a group of three whose mission is to help support the Fellowship in the background. The gameplay consists of very fun hack and slash mechanics, with lots of varied loot and gear rewards throughout. It has three person online co-op that is a blast to play with others. It’s available on PS3, 360 and PC. And it looks great on PC. Here are some of my own personal screenshots:

But you look like a luchador in the daytime, especially when you dye it funny colors.

I do actually dye all of my BOTW outfits. Often the different pieces are different colors–like the Gerudo Vai outfit, which has a blue veil, green and blue top and purple pants; or the Hylian outfit that has a red tunic and a blue-grey hood.

That being said, my most popular dye colors are white or black.

Really need to play that and have been meaning to. There were quite a lot of The Lord of the Rings games released for DOS, Amiga, whichever, when I was a kid and also teens. I even have Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor installed, all DLC, but haven’t even gotten around to it. The Hobbit PC game was decent but I preferred the GBA version for some reason.

CUPHEAD HAS RELEASED! Awesome cause I’m a huge fan of 1930s cinematic animation. Both movies and the shorts.

Anyone have thoughts on Dishonored? I picked up the PS4 “Definitive Edition” the other day for like $10 while I was looking for (and failing to find) a copy of Rise of the Tomb Raider at my local non-Gamestop shop.

Haven’t popped it in yet, just curious what I should be expecting. I see it’s Bethesda-published, but produced by a different studio - is it in any way like Elder Scrolls or Fallout 3/NV/4, or completely different?

I played this at a friends house and didn’t like it very much. Maybe I need to give it another playthrough.

The first one came out when I was two months old.

I’ve heard rumors that Frink was 56 years old when Star Wars came out.

I have Dishonored on Steam, and though I haven’t beaten it, what part I played I liked.

I tried to play without killing anyone.

Also, I was 10 when Super Mario Bros. 2 for NES was released.

I just finished Shovel Knight: Spectre of Torment. It was a good game with an interesting story, though the story was a bit hard to follow at times. I much prefered the gameplay of Spectre of Torment over that of Plague of Shadows.
