UPDATE: I haven’t really been interested on this project for a while, until recently. Currently I am making final masters of all 3 films with various sources to avoid any debates on thestarwarstrilogy forums etc (which I am banned from).
The sources of these final masters are:
various low quality reels
few seconds from TN1 projects
few scenes from the 2006 Bonus DVD.
I will be releasing the final masters somewhere around 24 July 2025 to 19 September 2025.

What is the source of this “restoration”? You have previously mentioned that it’s based on some late 90s prints, that were scanned in 2012, with the original files being over 200gb but you insist on working in 480p.
Why has no one else ever heard of these scans from 2012, and why do you insist on working from them rather than any other better print that has come out since? You said that the 4k97 scans have bad colour?
Why haven’t you shown any visuals from your “restoration”?
What is your goal with this project?
Please post some screenshots of this.

the sources of this preservation are clear, but there were, I am unsure if still are, debates of this.
I used only one source for each movie. The first movie’s source comes from a 1997 print. seemingly the same master was used for 4K97-4, but I am not sure, the scrathes are similar to 4K97-4 but I am not sure is it the same master.
The second movie: I used a print from 1998. It has colours in the other side of the image, but I am once again not sure why.
The third movie: it has rounded corners, I am not sure why, but some debated it was from 4K97, which it is not from.

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

Yes we all know HD wasn’t invented in 1997!!!
