You should also add paragraph breaks. It’s hard to read in a clump like that.

But why would you even bother to read it?

He changed it to look like that. It used to be a (properly wrapped around) wall of text.

My point is there’s no reason to bother reading anything that starts with “I think Star Wars fans are the worst.”

My point is to discuss bad Star Wars fans. I even said I don’t think all Star Wars fans are bad, I just think some are.

I change the title, called “Let’s talk about Star Wars fans”.

fixed.

Also, please fix your original post. It doesn’t wrap. I don’t know what markdown code you used but you need to fix it.

He needs to get rid of all the extra spaces at the beginning of each paragraph.

I’ve edited the formatting of the OP’s post so it can be read a lot easier than before.

(the indents at the start of each paragraph were causing the scrolling / almost unreadable issue)

I’m a Star Trek fan, and let me tell you: there are people who call themselves Trek fans and yet only like the first 2 seasons of TOS

So?

The only thing worse than fans are people who insist you have to like certain things to be a fan.

I’m a fan of TOS - all three seasons, along with the early 70’s animated series - which I consider to be the missing two seasons of the original five year mission.

I have no interest in anything that came after - every feature film (TWOK included) and series spin-off. All unwatchable dreck, IMO.

Which is fine. It’s somewhat different, to me, to say you’re a fan of The Original Series than to say you’re a fan of the franchise in general and yet only like 10.8% of the content.

(That 10.8% being 79 TOS episodes of the 703 episodes from TOS to ENT, plus 26 which is each film twice if you count them as two-part episodes.)

So?

So what?

So why aren’t you a fan if you only like the first two seasons of TOS?

The OP is about Star Wars fans who hate on people for liking things like TFA. It’s not the liking of only TOS that makes one not a fan of the franchise; it’s the bitching about the rest of the content.

You can’t legitimately say you’re a fan of something while in the same breath complain about how 92.5% of it blows goats.

except you can.

I would agree with your argument if i said, i only liked the first two eipsodes of a series, the rest sucked. Or, i only liked the first 10 minutes of a movie, the rest sucked. Then i don’t think you could claim to be a fan of a series (or a movie).

but when it is a series that has actually had many incarnations, separated by years. you certianly still can be a fan of trek, but only like one or two series. how is that hard to understand? Just because the series got changed after you started liking it, doesn’t invalidate your ability to like what you liked before.

Which would then lead one to be more specific.
“I’m a fan of TOS”; or “I’m a fan of the even-numbered Prime Kirk movies”; or “I’m a fan of the movie reboot”.

“I’m a fan of the Star Trek franchise, but only 55 episodes (of 729 available), and let me bitch and whine about why the rest completely suck” does not type, in my opinion.

-.-

My point is not that you only like TOS. My point is whether or not you whine about the rest of it. TO ME, if you do, you are not. If you’re a fan, then tell me why you like what you like, not focus on why everything else is complete and utter garbage.

JEDIT: And I’m not your kid, son.

I probably would say that 99% of Star Wars is a joke and unwatchable to me. Proportionally all those books, cartoons, prequels and sequels and standalones probably make up all but 1% of the content at this point.

Yep. I like three films out of a franchise of (currently) 10 films and a ton of books, comics, cartoons, games, ect.
I hate most Star Wars stuff. I love the OT. I’m a Star Wars fan.

There’s no such thing as a “fan” any more than there’s such a thing as “canon.” It’s all just meaningless labels. I just like what I like, care about what I care about, and the rest is all noise.

Where does the Clone Wars animated movie fall into that?

I’ve never seen it because most everyone says it’s garbage.

It is garbage. It’s about Jabba the Hutt’s infant son.

I think Star Wars fans are the worst. Let me say not all Star Wars fans are bad I am saying the ones who go around on YouTube and Facebook and Reddit and start stating that there opinions are fact. the fans that say, “you are not a real Star Wars fan if you like the Force Awakens.” I am going to tell you what are my opinions on Star Wars films are I love the Original Trilogy and the Clone Wars and the Force Awakens I don’t like Rebels and the Prequels I thought Rogue one was meh I thought the first act was slow but the second act was amazing.

look I am not going to shit on you for enjoying the prequels.I will respect your opinion on the films the only time I agree with Star Wars fans should be negative is when complaining about the original version not being released. That is the only time I agree that we should complain.

Please don’t be a asshole to people for liking certain Star Wars films

jediknightsuiziwhatever sock confirmed.

No, not enough mentions of the Baphomet Demon Cult.
