How about this?
Oooooh. Love it. The blue text at the top of the back is perfect. Good work!
Just my additional two cents: I LOVE the cover. I love the spine. I really enjoy the sepia tones of the whole thing. I love the choice of background images on the back. The only thing that stands out to me is the crawl font and the credits font. So, instead of trying to go yellow to match the film, why not just go radically different? I felt the white text of your first example was better to my eye. But find a nice font like Gill Sans (my personal favorite these days). Also, the credits could look like the poster credits with the right font choice. For example, this: http://i.imgur.com/nCbh3Sg.jpg
At some point it’s all just personal taste! It’s art, after all 😃.
The thing is that I can’t find other ways to get the credits. I took mine from the 1995 THX cases.

If not the crawl, then what can I use? I can’t have a black area on the back.

I may have to change the text from centered to left justified, because of the gaps.
I also had an Idea to create ONE insert. All the BD discs will be in one big case.

I was also thinking about using a more minimalist approach by creating a “face” set, with a more retro “white” background.
Observe:
One of my inspirations was, of all things, one of the Star Trek BD Sets.

I’m probably not going to use them. The end result will most likely be the previously posted set.

Some new ones based off the '94 VHS covers. I know Moth3r did them before, but I couldn’t resist… anyway, I wanted to see if I could based on the limited resources I have!
I’d like a copy of these covers as well. In particular, I’d like that Jedi cover, since it’s an effective minimalist approach.
Great release could you send me the link to download please ?

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with them.
Welcome to the forum 😃

Okay, so check these out! I decided to go towards a more “Pop-Art” approach. Remember, these are a WORK-IN-PROGRESS!
I also plan on making them for Criterion Cases.

Oh neat! That does give those cases a nice visual flare to them. I like the work you’ve put out skywalkerfan101, keep up the good work! 😃

Thanks. The pictures represent an ordinary 12.5 mm Blu Ray case, but I’m changing them for Criterion cases. They would go perfectly with them.

I might be changing the overall design to a more familiar look. I recently got inspired by one of ronwlim’s designs for his Indiana Jones set he created. I’ll be in touch.

Wow, thank you so much! I should have checked Harmy’s thread more closely.
I did not think it was possible to spend an hour looking at star wars custom blu ray box arts…I was wrong. Incredible work guys, all of you!
I almost finished the sequel trilogy blu ray set to match these.

I’m only waiting for the teaser in April to hit, so I can use a screen shot from that to add to the design. I’m missing a couple of pictures and of course the name of Episode IX, but everything else is there, also, don’t know like the run times for the other 2 films, but I can change it once they are all released.
I will probably add it to here in mid April. I wish I knew for sure the name of Episode IX, because it would be awesome, to finish it completely. I hope you all like what I did, I think it came out great.
I think this Ohrai poster for ROTJ is a cut above most of the posters, but I’ve never seen it used for a DVD or Blu-ray case. It would be really grand to have a full set of Ohrai Blu-ray cases. Perhaps this more impressionistic take on the well-known poster could be for Empire:
And this classic could be Star Wars:
Heck, there’s even a cool one for TPM:
Anyway, just an idea. Now that I have posted it, someone will undoubtedly show me that this set has been done.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
Episode 9 Rewrite, The Starlight Project (Released!) and ANH Technicolor Project (Released!)
Thought I’d share, if anyone wants, the Back Album cover of the OST of Star Wars '77 of vader & a star field. I could never find a good one, so I scanned & made one. Have one without text if needed?
