“A New Order” maybe? It hearkens back to “A New Hope”.

‘A New Order’ does have some negative ‘new world order’ or somewhat stern sounding connotations? (that could be just me?)

And I hear that title… and want to get the vinyl out and play Blue Monday, True Faith or Ceremony etc - I’d wear out the records in no time 😉

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

While I’m happy with all the movie titles as is, it’s fun to speculate different titles that maybe people could use for their own edits. I wouldn’t change the OT or Episode III titles, personally, but the rest are fair game. Some have already been used but these are my favorite.

The Ancient Fear
Shroud of the Darkside
Revenge of the Sith

A New Hope
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi

Shadow of the Empire
Dark Force Rising
Legacy of the Force

Or maybe, Balance of the Force, if IX was actually the last Skywalker Saga Film. Depends on how it ends I guess.

The following titles aren’t even original, I found them on the Internet and thought I should use them as they’re more fitting than what we got.

The Phantom Menace --> An Ancient Fear. It’s more of a dark take on A New Hope, and emphasizes the Sith as ancient, like the Jedi.

Attack of the Clones --> Army of the Republic. So it’d be less misleading (some would think the clones are attacking our heroes), and focuses on the Republic’s need for an army.

A New Hope --> Ways of the Force. Emphasizes Luke being taught the ways of the Force, hell, it even pays off in the climax of the fucking movie!

The Force Awakens --> Shadow of the Empire. This was the original working title for the movie and was named after Shadows of the Empire from the EU, but was scrapped in favor of what we got. This never should’ve been scrapped in the first place, it emphasizes the themes of legacy and how the characters and the First Order are living in the shadow of the Empire.

The Rise of Skywalker --> The Fate of the Skywalkers. It’s a more ambiguous and fitting title for the end of the saga and how the Skywalker story would conclude.

My alternative titles:

  1. Star Wars Episode I: Fate of the Galaxy
  2. Star Wars Episode II: The Path to Destruction
  3. Star Wars Episode III: Fall of the Republic
  4. Star Wars Episode IV: A New Path
  5. Star Wars Episode V: On the Verge of the Dark Side
  6. Star Wars Episode VI: The Rise of Skywalker

The last title refers to Anakin’s redemption, not Luke.

Episode I: The Hidden Menace

I actually prefer this over “The Phantom Menace.” It rolls off the tongue better and connects back to “The Hidden Fortress.”

But we can’t turn back. Fear is their greatest defense. I doubt if the actual security there is any greater than it was on Aquilae or Sullust. And what there is is most likely directed towards a large-scale assault.

Hmm, I’ll take a crack at that, too.

Book 1: Phantoms of Malice
Book 2: Engineers of War
Book 3: Destroyers of the Republic

Book 4: Keepers of Order
Book 5: Avengers of the Empire
Book 6: Heart of Temptation

Book 7: Insurgents of the Fringe
Book 8: Subjugators of the Galaxy
Book 9: Resurrection of Empire
