Today is my Nephew's birthday (May 25th) and I made him a Star Wars t-shirt for his birthay, and he's also getting a musical Star Wars card.

Today is my 30th b-day, so SW is only a mere 1 year older than me...man, I am getting OLD! ;)

Growing up I always thought this was a very cool similarity to have and destiny of sorts, seeing as how I love SW so much...

Oh my, it is. Star Wars is 3 and 1/10 decades old. It will definitely survive the test of time.

It is not much of a happy anniversary since the original version of the film can not be shown theatrically again since it was destroyed to make the special edition.

The legacy is entirely tarnished because of the 1997 and 2004 special editions, and the prequels.

I almost wish Tim Zahn's heir to the empire had not been published and resurrected star wars, since what came later is an abomination.

Return of the Jedi was not as good as the first 2 movies and after 83 no more shold have been done. Jedi had ewoks, but then came Jar Jar.

I'll take the ewoks any day over jar jar. ;-) I liked ROTJ in '83, and I still like it today (the original version, that is- NOT the SE or the even more ridiculous '04 version).

The musical score from ROTJ is also my favorite among the 3 films.

I agree that no more films should have been made after ROTJ (they probably shouldn't have made any more Indiana Jones films, either! LOL)
