On the “007-The Daniel Craig Collection” Blu Ray/UHD Combo-Disc Set, the extended international cut of Casino Royale (2006) can be found only on the UHD Blu Ray, in the USA and abroad. This is confirmed by this review on The Digital Bits. The extended cut, which has 17 seconds of extra footage, was previously released on Blu Ray but was not available in the USA.

This cut was used by the concert production company, Film Concerts Live, for their film-with-live-orchestra concert of Casino Royale featuring live performance of David Arnold’s music score.

Dalton was the best Bond. Can’t believe I said that, but it’s true.

Is the BD the deluxe version or the first release?

Most people cite Connery as the best Bond, or their favourite, but after reading a few of Ian Fleming’s books, and looking at that commissioned portrait of James Bond according to Fleming’s imagination, Timothy Dalton IS James Bond.

In terms of physical appearance and demeanour, Dalton is the one who comes closest to Fleming’s original version of the character, the only difference being that Bond is described as having blue eyes and Dalton has green eyes.

I really wish Dalton had been in more than one good movie. Would’ve been great to have some more good examples of Dalton as Bond!

I came on here to post the same trailer 😃

I enjoy looking forward to nearly every Bond film - and this will be no exception! I love some of the evolving changes made in the trailer with new characters - and some old too.

Hopefully it will be a good final film for Daniel Craig as Bond.

Badass, looks like they’re doing a Silence of the Lambs thing with Blofeld. Did they announce Waltz at some point and I missed it or did they manage to hide that until now? I remember hearing a year or two ago that he was definitely out and I hadn’t heard anything to the contrary since.

James Bond’s long-serving producers give control to Amazon’:-

www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1mn9gz5x3mo

'The James Bond film franchise will no longer be controlled by the Broccoli dynasty, after long-serving masterminds Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson announced they are stepping down.

The Bond films were launched by Albert “Cubby” Broccoli in 1962, before his daughter and stepson took over.

The pair will now give creative control to Amazon MGM Studios, which was formed when Amazon bought Bond’s parent studio in 2022.

The new deal comes after mounting speculation about the fate of the British spy, four years after his last outing in No Time to Die, which was also Daniel Craig’s final appearance in the role.

'Cubby Broccoli launched the iconic franchise with co-producer Harry Saltzman, and was joined by Wilson as a producing partner for 1985’s A View to a Kill.

Barbara took over from her father to join Wilson as a producer for 1995’s GoldenEye, and the pair have overseen every Bond film since through their Eon production house.

They kept tight control of the character - something that was acknowledged by Craig when he presented them with honorary Oscars in November, external. “Over the years many people and organisations have tried to put their own footprint on Bond,” he said.

“Barbara, Michael, I can’t tell you how much I admire your integrity in holding on to your singular vision as you brought Bond into the 21st Century with a passionate and a protective determination to honour the heart of this franchise.”’

As others have said online… hopefully there won’t now be a version of ‘The World Is Not Enough’ - where Elliot Carver is now the hero. Bezos as Blofeld, or ‘A View To A Shill’…

No remakes of 1979’s Moonraker either - where the villain is a super-rich industrialist and supposed rocket-maker seeking to go to space and cause chaos on Earth because… he’s a power-hungry oligarch and secret Nazi. Far-fetched or what?!

I hope that 4K Connery set happens and I hope it is new scans. I’d be really disappointed if it just was the old Lowry ones given an HDR pass, or even worse some AI upscaling and filtering like Park Road.

Pierce Brosnan saying Tom Hardy should be Bond. No. Too old. And he is Bane in Batman the Dark Knight Rises. And an awful Mad Max.

You can’t start your first film at age 47 when they want to lock you down with a 5 to 8 picture deal.

Ironically, I could buy him as Batman, but not Bond.

None of the actors proposed remotely have the suave demeanor or the sex appeal to be James Bond. I’m sure whomever Amazon chooses is going to go over like a barrel over Niagara Falls.

I’m actually really digging Patrick Gibson in the role. He will be the younger Bond in the new First Light: 007 game that is releasing next year. He was great as young Dexter in Dexter: Original Sin, and so far, I’ve loved what I’ve seen and heard about this upcoming game.

Ideally, since they will be rebooting the film-side of things, they’ll need to have a younger actor that can carry the franchise for the next 15-20 years. I’d love to see them just cast Patrick, he’s 30 years old now, and could easily play him for the next 20 years.

The game, or let’s be real… games if this sells well, can focus on 007’s origins, while the movies can have him be slightly aged up and get back to a more traditional film structure.
