The Matrix 35mm (Released) — Page 11

Unfortunately SDR simply doesn’t have the ability to represent the blacks (or highlights) in 35mm scans very well, especially with this movie which is quite dark in many parts, but other than that it’s the only release of this movie I’ve seen which actually looks the same as it did in the cinema. Thank you OP.

If it’s available, I would like to see, please send me a DM! I collected all possible stuff from The Matrix, and so far only the 35mm open-matte trailer on Youtube seems close/faithful to what the 1st movie was supposed to look like (without so much green filter, from the sequels).

It seems every home video release is plagued with these inaccuracies, and of course we can’t use the 1st DVD, since it’s too low-res.

There is a 35mm file/copy out there, but it has a lot of issues, and it’s not a substitute for other official releases, sadly.

Can I have a link please?

In general, simply sending a PM is the default way of asking for fan projects on here (unless indicated / instructed otherwise in the project thread)

❕ I have found a Fan Edit / Preservation I am interested in - but I don’t know how to get / acquire / download it? ❕

These may be of some use below… please note that cluttering up the project threads with ‘link request’ posts is not only poor form - but is also against the rules & guidelines here - the reasons for which can be found below…

ATTENTION NEW MEMBERS: “Link begging” posts will be deleted without notice - in Announcements

Along with…

❕ ‘How Do I Do This?’ on the OriginalTrilogy.com; some info & answers + member FAQs ❕ | Site Rules | Fan Project Rules

Hopefully the project threads will soon get back to being discussions about the actual projects themselves - queries, feedback, reviews, exchange of ideas, suggestions for future versions etc - and not be full of endless & unnecessary ‘link request’ posts.

Good luck with it. 👍

Edit: if anyone wants the link for 'The Matrix 1999 35mm 1080p Cinema DTS v2.0’ - the 21.4gb mkv file… send me a PM. You must have 30+ posts to your account (not including any ‘link request’ posts); if you’re not going to participate with the community here - even attempting becoming an active member here - then don’t bother asking for links.

Fellow members are more likely to help you out if you are a participating member of the community here; you don’t have to be a fellow fan editor, preservationist, tech wiz, artistic or skilled etc… just a member that has made, or is making, an effort.

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

How do I do this?’ on the OriginalTrilogy.com - includes info on how to ask for a fan project and how to search for projects and threads on OT•com.

A Project Index for Star Wars Preservations (Harmy’s Despecialized & 4K77/80/83 etc) : A Project Index for Star Wars Fan Edits (adywan & Hal 9000 etc)

Take your time to look around this site before posting… Do NOT just lazily make yet another ‘link request’ post - or a new thread asking for projects.
