I think Luthen will die in episodes 7-9. When Mon makes her post-massacre speech and goes into exile, she’s filling his shoes as the head of the Rebellion, but without the secret identity. This helps resolve the chain of command problems: It’s a lot easier to have a chain of command if everyone knows who is at the top. Also, I can’t imagine Luthen agreeing to her making the speech and going into exile.

Finally watched season 2.
I’m convinced that Luthen - and almost certainly his formidable partner - will stake everything, including their own lives, to secure Mon Mothma’s escape when she’s most vulnerable. We’ve already watched Luthen shed his trademark composure for a fiercer, more desperate edge: he bent his “code” by allowing Mothma’s sister to defy orders and rejoin her partner, and he tactically nudged Bix toward her vengeance. Meanwhile, Mon Mothma’s simmering rage has even pushed her to openly confront Director Krennic himself.
In the episodes ahead—after the ISB’s ruthless assault on Ghorman and the Empire’s cruelty reaches new heights—both Luthen and Mon Mothma will snap. I can vividly imagine Mon Mothma’s polished façade cracking in a flash of raw emotion, and Luthen, without hesitation, stepping into grave danger to shield her, sacrificing himself so she can continue the rebellion.
I can see something like this of a structure:

Man, I love this guy. I have immense admiration for him: he not only grasps the depth of his universe and breathes life into his storytelling, but also embodies the art of filmmaking — seamlessly fusing these three pillars into a truly fulfilling experience for everyone involved and for the audience.
I’m not going to find myself interested in anything Star Wars-related for a long time after this (i saw the upcoming projects recently and nearly fell asleep), but if this guy was to be hired for a Star Wars movie set between ROTJ and TFA or something… i’d buy popcorn 4 years in advance. Or, when I think about it, maybe not 4 years with Disney’s history of firing directors. Heuheu.
If you liked that then you may also enjoy this one (for me, a pro-level video that wouldn’t be out of place on an official release)…

Last night’s episodes were amazing. I know that is the word going around online as well. Just… wow.

Last night’s episodes were amazing. I know that is the word going around online as well. Just… wow.
Compelling, wasn’t it? I was glued to the screen for all 2.5 hours; the stories, immersion, tension, build-ups, acting, monologues, costuming, action sequences, payoffs, the unpredictability, the surprises… as well as the usual high-end standards of direction, cinematography, editing, and sound… the whole range of emotions… it was exhausting to watch - in such a great enveloping manner.
The whole series has been a joy to experience - and feel like a big kid again in waiting impatiently until next week’s finale.
All credit and kudos for them sticking the landing with respecting and adhering to the ‘canon’ - with both more recently portrayals of events - and also the long past EU from the era of WEG Sourcebooks etc… beautifully and organically executed.
The whole show is a masterclass.
Dreena’s message and plea for help on the radio…
“Palmo One.This is Palmo One. This is the voice of Ghorman. This is Palmo One making an Emergency Broadcast on all open channels. This is Palmo One. This is Palmo One.
We are under siege. We’re being slaughtered. The Imperial murder of Ghorman has begun! There are hundreds of bodies at moment.
As I say these words, hundreds of murders Ghormans lay dead in Palmo Plaza. Thousands more on the streets. Mor every minute.
We’re being destroyed!
This is Ghorman reaching for any open channel that can hear me! If you can… if you can hear me… If you believe in truth, if you have any faith left in truth, please, please mark this message and pass it forward. This is murder!
The Empire built this fire! They made this fire and led us to the slaughter. Now they expect us to die without knowing why.
The conspiracy we’ve fears is real! It’s here today!
Imperial ships are already landing across… Help us! Is there no-one who can help us? Is there no-one?”
The Ghorman Resistance’s Final Message To The Galaxy - 2 minute video from the The Admiral youtube channel.
Mon Mothma’s speech…
“Fellow Senators, friends, colleagues… allies, adversaries. I stand before you this morning with a heavy heart. I’ve spent my life in this Chamber. I came here as a child. And as I look around me now I realise I almost have no memories that pre-date my arrival… and few bond of affection that cleave so tightly. Through these many years, I believe I have served my constituents honourably and upheld our code of conduct. This Chamber is a cauldron of opinions, and we’ve certainly all had our patience and tempers tested in pursuit of our ideals.Disagree as we might, I am hopeful that those of you who know me will vouch for my credibility in the days to come. I stand this morning with a difficult message:
I believe we are in crisis… The distance between what is said… and what is known to be true… has become an abyss. Of all the things at risk, the loss of an objective reality is perhaps the most dangerous. The death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil. When truth leaves us, when we let it slip away, when it is ripped from our hands, we become vulnerable to the appetite of whatever monster screams the loudest.
This chamber’s hold on the truth was finally lost on the Ghorman Plaza. What took place yesterday… what happened yesterday on Ghorman was unprovoked genocide! Yes! Genocide! And that truth has been exiled from this Chamber. And the monster screaming the loudest? The monster we’ve helped create? The monster who will come for us all soon enough… is Emperor Palpatine.”
Andor | Mon Mothma’s Speech - a 2+ minute video of Mon Mothma’s speech from the Gamertrix youtube channel.
Bix’s speech…
“My Love. You’re sleeping now. You look so peaceful. I wanna be brave, but I can’t. If I was brave, I would stay and do this in person… but I know you, and you’d just talk me around, and I’ve been thinking about this too long to let that happen.I have to leave. I have to go away. I’m not sure where or for how long, I just know I can’t stay here with you now. I believe what you said. It is a choice. It just can’t be me. I can’t be the reason you leave here. If you ever gave this up for me, I’d… I’d never forgive myself. We have to win. We have to beat them. And I believe you have purpose in making this happen. I need to believe that…
So, I’m choosing for the both of us. I’m choosing the Rebellion.
And when it’s done… when it’s over… and we’ve won… we can do all the things we ever wanted. Everything we’d know we’ve missed.
I’ll find you.”

Episode 8 of season 2 chilled me to my core . Damn good show !
i think episodes 8 and 9 where the best episodes of the show, it was sooo intense
idk
Well what can you say, it was great. Especially that one Dedra scene, as I remembered the trailers, and suddenly thought they might use the gas on her from part 6 during the revenge plot. This was way more interesting.
Not sold on the “oh wait we gotta bring this horrific thing along with us so it’s in RO” part, but that’s just me, could have been more natural. There’s my nitpick.

I do agree to a certain extent, but then I recall Luthen (or someone else) saying something about using the enemy’s own weapons to defeat them. I think that is the only foreshadowing that was needed and I’ll give them a pass.
WHAT HAVE I DONE?
The Ancient Lore
Kenobi: A Star Wars Story

Thank you to Tony Gilroy and Co. to actually bring tears to my eyes, laughter to my face and happiness through my heart over a Star Wars presentation once again. I haven’t felt this since Revenge of the Sith. I really do care about the universe for the short while the show has left.
Thank you.

Spoilers below, my guess for a certain character in the final three episodes:
I’m convinced after Syril’s death, Dedra will see the errors of her ways. She’ll be promoted to work with Krennic on Edau and be responsible for helping Bodhi escape, thus kicking off the events of Rogue One (and will likely die in the process).
The Star Wars Saga:
I · II · III · IV · V · VI · VII · VIII · IX | Rogue One · Solo
What was first just a dream has become a frightening reality…
Disagree.
I hope she’s irredeemable and gets worse because she doesn’t want to feel those kinds of emotions.
Not sold on the “oh wait we gotta bring this horrific thing along with us so it’s in RO” part, but that’s just me, could have been more natural. There’s my nitpick.
At the start of Season One, we’re told that Cassian’s modus operandi is stealing Imperial Tech - the plot ramps up because he has stolen an ‘Imperial Starpath Unit’.
This episode he’s just about to get on his ship out of Ghorman and there’s a KX Droid just waiting to be stolen, he needs a hand lifting it but an opportunist like Andor has got to take it!
Episodes 1-6 of this season would trim down to make a fine 2 hour fan edit movie.
Episodes 7-9 really just want the start and end credits removing, they were gold right through!
Disagree.
I hope she’s irredeemable and gets worse because she doesn’t want to feel those kinds of emotions.
I would also love that, not sure that’s what we’ll get though. Less than a week to know though!

I dunno he hasn’t done much like that on screen and a lot of years passed. A line about what use the nightmare murderbot serves would have been nice.
A line about what use the nightmare murderbot serves would have been nice.
Eh, I don’t think so. He sees a high-tech enemy weapon/droid that he can take back to the Rebels to reverse engineer or reprogram. Not that uncommon in times of war “to use the weapons of my enemy”.

Well I get that line of thinking but the circumstances were super high stress and threat of death was high, so like I said that will be my nitpick.

Tony Gilroy explains the ditched origin story and why it was scrapped.
https://ew.com/andor-creator-reveals-scrapped-k2so-horror-movie-episode-11728167
“Dan Gilroy wrote an amazing, entirely self-contained episode that was episode 209,” Gilroy reveals, referring to his brother and Andor writer. “It was an amazing episode that was like a horror movie.”
So what exactly happened in this scrapped K-2SO horror movie episode that was originally slated to be episode 9 of season 2? “It was the K2 story,” Gilroy explains. “They had to bring this huge ugly tanker ship to Yavin, and there was a KX unit that was trapped inside there hunting. It was sort of like a monster movie with K2 on it. It was really cool.”
As for why the entire episode never made it to the filming stage, it came down to a matter of economics. “We could not afford to do it,” sighs Gilroy. “It was made clear that it was out of the range, so we had to abandon that and consolidate things.”
and later in the article…
“We made as many concessions as we could, but it was still a huge gamble on their part to keep going and still a huge ask. So thank you, Disney, and thank you Lucasfilm. It was lot of tough conversations and a lot of anxiety, but really, in the end, they really backed our play.”
^ the full article is very much well worth a read - especially on the changing economics for the Andor series between Seasons 1 & 2.

I was having an okay day today, until I saw this:
The Star Wars Saga:
I · II · III · IV · V · VI · VII · VIII · IX | Rogue One · Solo
What was first just a dream has become a frightening reality…
I agree that the arc released this week was by far the strongest of this season, but I disagree with a lot of people on these forums saying that first two arcs should have been truncated or skipped over. I think it’s all important setup and character work. Andor has always been a slow burn show where the tension broils up over time. Personally, I think this is one of the few Star Wars properties that I’m not all that interested in a fan edit of.
