Jeez, that looks like one of those posters from Ghana.
And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.
This recently announced 4K Shawshank Redemption has awful cover art
I don’t know what you’re talking about, Frink. Science Fiction Perform Distinctive is the BEST Star Wars with the BEST cover art!
I’m not really that much of a movie purist. I really should’ve thought my name out a bit more.
Every Any Which Which Way Way But You Loose Can
Great movie.

Here are two obscure movies from the ‘70s given the infamous "copy and paste the main actors’ faces on a bland background" treatment.
I agree with everyone in this thread that I hate these types of covers with a burning passion. It sends the “cheap shitty quality TV b-movie” vibes from me and creates an awful first impression if one has never even heard of the movie. Just use the poster art for Pete’s sake! This was pretty much an epidemic in early DVD releases in the 2000s.
Fortunately, despite the 2021 Blu-Ray release of Jeremy having this rather uncanny-looking 2d cover, it still is far more professional looking, appealing to the eye, and far less lazy.
Also, yikes, this thread has a LOT of broken file links!
Waiting for life to go by
A horrible Photoshopped cover for a horrible movie

Time, destroyer of worlds and URLs.
Gods for some, miniature libertarian socialist flags for others.
Literary anything with this type of cover art
BAM! Generic DVD cover art

Also, I’m pretty sure a lot of image links were lost when the board switched to markdown syntax.
The Skywalker Saga:
I · II · III · IV · V · VI · VII · VIII · IX
What was first just a dream has become a frightening reality…
Bringing this thread full circle…
This is the lamest art they could have chosen for the Spider-Man trilogy in 4K:
The Spider-Man 3 black suit logo reflection in his lens is atrocious.
There are so many better simplistic choices they could have chosen.
Give me a double-sided insert!

This is a thread for terrible art not masterpieces.
In my opinion, most studio-commissioned retail art truly sucks, and that’s why fans end up replacing it with their own in their collections. I actually feel bad for the artists hired to make that crap though, knowing they’re probably given only limited resources and a few hours to finish it.
What do you mean? This is pure awesome.
Why? Just why? 😦

Looks like they took the believe in angels poster and cropped the image to the right side instead of the middle why not just do the poster centered. Those ugly rating certs are always on Euro releases. I generally don’t mind if the disc is region free for a blu-ray or its a 4k disc. Other people lose their minds if not a one sheet or theatrical poster on a Zavvi steelbook, generally i just watch the damn thing. Like I pefer Jcard, OBI or slipcover. But it’s not a deal breaker for me except for Japanese laserdisc to have an OBI. Because as insane as that is it impacts the value. That and if or not its sealed.
