I have watched this and it is an astonishing improvement on the Disney Trilogy. It was actually an entertaining watch. Though there’s only so much you can do with such poor storytelling to begin with, it’s made the DT palatable

This is a thread of general ideas and brainstorming, are you referring to a particular edit?

I’ve been lurking around Jar Jar Bricks’ edit of the TROS novel, & I like their notion of adding Anakin in more as a means to make the ST feel more connected to the idea of I-VI being about The Tragedy of Darth Vader. While they said it can only be done with the novelization, I think there are ways of accomplishing this in the movie

-When Kylo arrives on Exegol, instead of Palpatine, he encounters a Vision of Vader, using the Fan Film Force of Darkness as a basis. However, you redub over Vader, making him sound more like either Hayden Christensen or Matt Lanter, & recolor his lightsaber from red to blue. It gives agency to Anakin, it makes an intriguing image to see Vader with blue lightsaber & therefore allows a glimpse into Kylo’s psyche at the time.

-When Kylo places his hand on mask, trying to speak to Vader, he’ll get visions of Anakin from the PT trying & failing to be a good person, suffering, until we see child Anakin walking away with Qui-Gon, only recut/recolored so that Anakin is looking disapprovingly at Kylo. You can also recolor shots of Kylo on Crait to better sell the idea that Kylo and Anakin are looking at each other.

-Lastly, after Han’s memory convinces Kylo to turn back to the light, as Kylo throws his lightsaber away, we cut back to Han who is slowly morphin into Anakin’s Force Ghost. This is Anakin giving Kylo the last push he needs to go help Rey. Even if Kylo doesn’t know why he saw his father, it’s effective.

I don’t know about Han turning into Anakin but blue lightsaber Vader actually sounds pretty cool, I would love to see that edited in somehow.

It’s not so much Kylo speaking to child Anakin as much as it is Kylo trying to find anything to justify his view of Darth Vader, only to get every evidence of the contrary, signified by child Anakin shooting a scowl at him.

That being said, I also like the idea of keeping bits of the theatrical vision has when Kylo touches Vader’s mask, but overlaid with Anakin lines. For example, turn Anakin’s line from RotS “You turned her against me” into “[You] turned her against you” & overlay it with Rey shutting the door on Kylo from TLJ.

Oh man, those look gorgeous! I’m such a sucker for concept art.

“That’s not how the Force works!”

Nice catch! Something interesting I noticed there is the pictures of the vexis cave are labeled “Bayou Tunnels” suggesting at some stage Pasaana may have been intended as a swamp.

Looks like we probably won’t be getting new voice lines from the official actors in the new Lego game like we did for TFA. I think the only returning actor is Anthony Daniels.

Unreliable IMDb aside, Wookieepedia, which is properly sourced, only lists five VAs so far. They are:

  • Tom Kane as Qui-Gon Jinn and Yoda

  • Daniel Logan as Boba Fett (presumably the young version)

  • Stephen Stanton as Obi-Wan Kenobi (presumably old Ben, since that’s the version he voiced in Rebels)

  • Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian

  • Sam Witwer as Darth Sidious

I think it’s safe to assume Anthony Daniels, James Arnold Taylor, Matthew Wood, and Dee Bradley Baker will be there too. I suspect we’ll get a few returning actors straight from the film but they probably won’t be the majority. For example, IMDb claims Naomie Ackie is returning as Jannah, which sounds perfectly plausible. Mark Hamill is a voice actor first and foremost, so I could easily see him voicing not just Luke but a bunch of other characters too.

Surprisingly he is also voicing adult Boba too. TT games posted a short clip of adult Boba on twitter and he was indeed voiced by Daniel Logan.
