Centred on the events of Order 66, this edit combines Revenge of the Sith, The Siege of Mandalore arc from season seven of The Clone Wars, the events leading up to the Siege of Coruscant from Genndy Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars microseries, and the first episode of The Bad Batch, all into a single whopping five-and-a-half-hour movie.
The different stories are intercut so the timing of simultaneous events matches up, complimenting each other thematically and giving a sweeping, epic scope to one of the largest events in Galactic History. It’s all in there, even the deleted scenes from ROTS. This is an edit for the true completionist.
To give fair credit: this fanedit is mostly the work of Dan Hilton over in Sithposting Discussion Group on Facebook, and has been posted with his blessing. He combined ROTS, TCW, and CW into a four-hour-twenty-minute Revenge of the Sith Supercut last year; I’ve come along and added The Bad Batch, turning it into what I’ve been calling an Ultracut, as well as creating a new custom title for the opening. His edit is fantastic and deserves greater recognition, and I was very lucky to be able to add to it.
If you’ve got a long afternoon to spare and feel like experiencing the full weight of the fall of the Republic, then this is the movie for you.
