Is it me or have certain SW related channels got squashed by the algorithm and have next to no views? Jamie Stangroom has the same problem, but that could be because he tried to rebrand everything and add other types of content too often.

It is not you, mate. That bloody algorithm has a lot to answer for.

‘Explore the history of the legendary bounty hunter in Under the Helmet: The Legacy of Boba Fett, an Original Documentary Special, now streaming on @DisneyPlus’ - https://twitter.com/starwars/status/1459189405374058498

^ Poor Jason Wingreen… not even a mention of him in the new ‘Under The Helmet: The Legacy of Boba Fett’ doc on Disney+.

An otherwise decent-ish doc on Boba - including contributions from Joe Johnston, Duwayne Dunham, plus some lovely footage of Jeremy Bulloch. George, Filoni, Ben Burtt, Daniel Logan and Temuera Morrison feature too.

Yet no Jason Wingreen at all - all the featured audio for Boba in the Original Trilogy is by Temuera Morrison - with no mention they were even changed, or who they were originally voiced by. A bit shite, that… to say the least.

A decent surface level watch overall - yet nothing new in it that I can remember (22 minutes in total).

It seemed yet another attempt at erasing / altering Star Wars history (or a somewhat unbelievable oversight on the part of Lucasfilm). If you were a kid, or someone new to the franchise, watching that doc… you’d never know Jason Wingreen originally voiced Boba.

Hopefully they’ll amend the documentary - or rectify the omission of Jason Wingreen in the credits… though I doubt it.

Boba Fett Voice Comparison - Defending the Unaltered OT - A Discussion About Star Wars Consistency’:-

www.youtube.com/watch?v=41jxMmC-COk - a 5 minute video from 2020, at the The Corellian Connection youtube channel.

The blurb:-

'Despite his mere total of 4 lines in the Empire Strikes Back, Bob Fett has become one of the most beloved characters in Star Wars; truly an icon. Fett was originally voiced by American actor Jason Wingreen. George Lucas later had Fett’s lines redubbed by New Zealand actor Temuera Morrison; the actor who played Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones.

While I understand why Lucas decided to make this change, and personally think Morrison would be the perfect cast for any cold blooded bounty hunter, I ultimately do not agree with it. While I do greatly prefer the aesthetic of Wingreen’s lines, I actually believe that the change does not make canonical sense.

In this video, I discuss why I think changing Fett’s voice from Wingreen to Morrison is both unnecessary and ultimately inconsistent with what we know about the Star Wars universe and real world accent development.’

Boba Fett’s Voice: Temuera Morrison (2004) vs. Jason Wingreen (1980)’:-

www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9N4tE8gqIQ - a 20 second video at the Boba Fett Fan Club youtube channel.

The blurb:-

'On this day (21st September) in 2004, Boba Fett’s original voice was officially replaced

Do you prefer the new (Temuera Morrison) or the old (Jason Wingreen)?

Starting with the Star Wars Trilogy DVD release on September 21, 2004, all subsequent releases use the new voice.’

Hoth Hangar | Star Wars Nook
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96_z3BBszDg - from the Boylei Hobby Time YouTube channel (8 mins long).

Millennium Falcon + Landing Platform Diorama
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0c8TWftAJvE - from the Boylei Hobby Time YouTube channel (7 mins long).

The blurb:
“This week I built a landing platform for a 1:350 scale Millennium Falcon from Bandai. The landing pad was supposed to look more like the one seen in Cloud City from Empire Strikes Back, but ended up looking more like a fortress of some kind. Either way I’m happy with it and think it will be a nice addition to my collection.”

Slave 1 vs. A-Wing Diorama
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOGJNj0TbgU - from the Boylei Hobby Time YouTube channel (8 mins long).

The blurb:
“This piece is titled “Chip Off The Old Block””

Tiny Jabba’s Palace Diorama
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCQT6USy55I - from the Boylei Hobby Time YouTube channel (5 mins long).

The blurb:
“In this video, I build a realistic 1:700 scale Jabba’s Palace. I 3D printed the structures and made the terrain from styrofoam.”

Boba Fett | Return Of The Jedi Diorama
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vw58Lcr7br0 - from the Boylei Hobby Time YouTube channel (7 mins long).

The blurb:
“I had leftover miniatures from my last build! So, of course, I had to turn them into another Nano Nook. This time, it’s Jabba’s favorite decoration and the Bounty Hunter who made it all possible. The whole thing fits inside a golf ball display case.”

Star Wars Inspired Designs for 3D Printing | Anycubic Mega Zero 2.0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJ447VwOBsc - from the Boylei Hobby Time YouTube channel (8 mins long).

The blurb:
“Anycubic sent me one of their filament printers to test and use in future projects. In an attempt to be both fun and practical, I built the back end of a Blockade Runner to store my paint bottles. I also wanted to do some prototyping for a 1:144 ship stand (with built in suspended blaster bolts). Both could use a little more work, but I am very happy with the results.”

Luke Skywalker Splits an AT-ST
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-H79nORaBI - from the Boylei Hobby Time YouTube channel (8 mins long).

The blurb:
“This week, I built something I’ve been thinking of doing for a while. I played the game The Force Unleashed a ton when it came out 10+ years ago, and I always loved the boss battles. There were two or three different finishing moves at the end of the AT-ST mini boss fights, and my favorite was when Starkiller jumped up and sliced the walker in half. This scene was inspired by that sequence from the game, but I adapted it to feature Luke as the Jedi doing the slicing. ‘Cause let’s be real, Luke is the best.”

Darth Vader’s Redemption - Cinema Reaction (1983)

From a time when “Force Lightning” wasn’t yet a thing.

The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear.

Original X-Wing Model from Star Wars: Episode IV!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zqz05dYFYu8 - 13 minute video at Adam Savage’s Tested YouTube channel

“Adam visits Prop Store ahead of their upcoming Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction to get a rare up-close look at one of the few surviving X-Wing miniatures from the making of Star Wars: Episode IV. Inspecting the paint finish and preserved surface of this gorgeous filming miniature is like a looking into the early days of the ILM model shop, with every detail revealing first hand the care and attention that went into the first Star Wars movie.”

I loved watching this, and the interest and joy on Adam’s face. Also his memories and skills from when he worked at ILM in the later 90s and early 2000s.

EC Henry really does do some great videos on the Original Trilogy. Thanks for the reminder to go and watch some more of them!
