This quote fro Temeura seems to indicate we’ll at least see what he was up to between ROTJ and Mando, if we don’t go back even further.

I’m sure we’ll see Boba escaping the Sarlacc pit, which makes me wonder - which version of it are they going to use? The one which is basically a hole or the one with a beak? (Not that anyone on here needs the special edition changes explained to them)

As we’ve seen/heard with the ‘Han shoots first’ scene in Solo, and the original Krayt dragon sound effect being used for The Marshal, writers and directors of new Star Wars projects tend to be more nostalgic for the original editions and remember the controversy that started in 1997. However, to avoid audience confusion, my guess is they’ll use the beaky SE sarlacc. Assuming we see a sarlacc at all, this should be our most clear pointer as to whether Disney/Lucasfilm are treating the special editions are the canon versions, although it won’t be definitive. It’s more likely that creators will use the special editions for reference when casual/younger fans would be confused and the OOT for reference otherwise. Still an interesting question.

They could just shoot the Sarlacc from a distance and Fett comes flying out and lands on the dunes. Doesn’t that silly beak they added only pop out when it’s eating?

Like the Krayt dragon’s roars were a mix of all of the different versions, I can see them opting to do the same with the sarlaac. First show it as the classic pit and then have the beak emerge to spat Fett out.

Exclusive: Robert Rodriguez Teases ‘The Book of Boba Fett’: “It’s Going to Blow Your Mind”’:-

^ A decent ‘non-clickbait’ article with quotes from Robert Rodriguez himself.

I suppose this new Boba series puts an end to the further adventures of Dr Hone Ropata! (insert angry gif / emoticon here)

No really hyped by Robert Rodriguez, who is not by my book (!) a good filmamaker, even though I like a few of his flicks (mostly due to the people he was working with, being Tarantino or Cameron). So on this side I know it won’t be very convincing; however, I certainly hope this is gonna be a mean and badass Boba, not the sort of reedemed version of Mando. Let’s it be fun !

This may be true, but surely this is also how he talks about every project?

Considering how Rodriguez expressed his personal attachment to Boba Fett in the Mandalorian behind-the-scenes documentary, I’m willing to believe he’s more than capable to outdo himself, even if his previous work is somewhat hit-or-miss.

I hope he gives his ship a fresh paint job like he did with his armor.

I hope so as well, Star Wars with brand new paint jobs to look like plastic toys, so much for “used space” vibe…

Yes. And there are some very lengthy spells of WTF in between his handful of good ones.

A new coat of paint on his armor and ship would not remove the lived-in look of the Star Wars galaxy any more than R2-D2 and C-3PO occasionally getting shined up.

I was being a bit ironic, however I feel like too much rebranding to make things shine gets out of topic at some point, and I don’t trust Robriguez and its digital and lazy filmmaking to pull anything interesting out of this material (not a fan as well of the possible “wokism” spreading everywhere and especially on the Star Wars universe…). I wish Joe Johnston had been involved 😕

The after credits scene from the last episode of The Mandalorian already has my interest. This team did a great job with their first two seasons of live-action Star Wars and I can’t wait to see what they do next.

Based on the post-credits scene of the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, I assume Boba Fett will take on the criminal underworld with Fennec Shand as his right-hand using Jabba’s Palace as his base of operations. Is my assessment wrong?

I believe we’ve heard some rumours about it being about Boba getting revenge of people who have wronged him, so yeah that sounds about right to me.

I hope we get our first Book of Boba Fett trailer before then, but knowing how last-minute Lucasfilm do their Star Wars marketing, I kind of doubt it. Fingers crossed I’m wrong.

Nice one 😃

Seems the special has been confirmed as being ‘Under the Helmet: The Legacy of Boba Fett’.

Very much looking forward to it - available from Friday 12th November…

Slightly underwhelming trailer IMO, but I’m guessing that, like the Mandalorian trailers, the footage is mostly from the first few episodes, so hopefully the show will have more surprises down the line than what was implied here.

I admit this looks pretty cool and is in some ways at least by the trailer what I’d picture George’s Sequels with Darth Maul as the head of the crime syndicates would look like instead of Boba Fett. We’ll have to wait and see but I’m cautiously optimistic.

“Heroes come in all sizes, and you don’t have to be a giant hero. You can be a very small hero. It’s just as important to understand that accepting self-responsibility for the things you do, having good manners, caring about other people - these are heroic acts. Everybody has the choice of being a hero or not being a hero every day of their lives.” - George Lucas

I’m super pumped for this! I have waited years to get Boba action!

I’m just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe.

Star Wars has 3 eras: The eras are 1977-1983(pre Expanded Universe), (1983-2014) expanded universe, or (2014- now) Disney-bought version. Each are valid.
