On a related note, do you store your slip-covered TLJ Blu with the Rey- or Luke-emblazoned spine facing out? Or didn’t you notice or care?
I went with Luke.
I have the steelbook
I went with the slip-covered blu-Rey.

I have Rey, just because I have all my movies facing the same direction and she happened to be on the side for that.

The Person in Question
Yeah, so this one is technically backwards, with the clasp rather than the spine facing out. But that’s the beauty of the slip cover.
I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.

You could flip the cover, where the spine would be out, the cover would just be backward, but it’s not like the spine or clasp are visable anyway.

FTFY. But could you please be more descriptive?

I may have done that actually. I don’t know. Not worth taking the thing off the shelf to find out, as it doesn’t matter at all 😛

7/10. And nope
Just picked up Barry Lyndon at the BN Criterion sale and ordered Spartacus. I think it might be time to separate my Kubrick titles and give him a dedicated shrine (a.k.a. small section of a shelf).

I do too, but I do sometimes consider removing them just for space-saving reasons. It may not seem like much of a difference, but they do add up.
Do they actually though?

um, late to the party much?

It is a legitimate and important question that transcends reasonable response time limits.

If your collection is large enough, yeah. I could believe squeezing an extra movie on a longish shelf after removing the slips. Especially since you often end up with a gap that’s _almost_big enough to squeeze in an extra title at the end of the shelf.

Some lucky people in the US don’t have to sort their movies (and just go get them from the video rental store):-
‘The last Blockbuster: I’m proud that we’ve survived’…

Good luck to them.
A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

There’s also family videos everywhere… They made a smart move of adding a (very good actually imo) pizza place called Marcos in their shops. The food is good, and hey… Why not rent a nice movie you’ve never seen to watch with your family while enjoying this nice pizza.
Marco’s pizza is great. There’s one by my local theatre; it’s a great place to stop and grab a bite after seeing a movie.
I mean, it’s better than the other chain delivery places at least. They still insist on cooking it, which is annoying

- Films & TV shows are sorted together.
Changed my mind on this one. I now sort films & TV shows separately.
Alpha, by genre:
Action (subdivided) - Asian (subdivided) - Comedy - Drama - Horror
Mystery - Noir (subdivided) - PreCode - Silent - Docs - Misc
Used to organize with Whereisit, but hell, I have an expiration date.
Alpha by genre:
Action, Animation, Comedy, Drama, Film Noir, science Fiction, War, Western
Sequels next to the original regardless of title.

Objection! Animation isn’t a genre.
I’m not sure film noir is a genre, either.
Yeah, that’s a style, not a genre.
Since this is a suspiciouscoffee thread, I’d just like to comment on his current avatar. It’s the most abhorrent abomination I’ve had the displeasure to lay eyes upon, and I’m tickled pink he signed back into his account only to bless us with it.
