Thanks everyone!!

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Stunning covers EyeShotFirst - I hope you do a cover for Episode IX - and maybe for Solo and Rogue One as well?

Tighten Up and then turn it all the way up to 11!

Thank you very much! I’ve been doing some preparations for Solo and Rogue One covers, I’m not 100% happy with the Solo one, but Rogue One had some really great poster art that I’m incorporating. IX depends strongly on whether it has good posters. Last Jedi took a lot of work to get it’s poster work to match the style of the earlier films, and it was only because I lucked out that Hugh Fleming made something somewhat retro. I really would love if someone made some retro prequel posters. As much as I love Drew Struzan as an artist, his Star Wars posters always felt too empty and relied too heavily on being 1 of 6 parts, as opposed to holding up on their own.

Hi everyone. I’m the creator of this thread. I just checked in here to see if I could find my original covers and disc art that I made way back in 2004. I can’t believe this thing is still going and there are so many amazing pieces of work. Really great stuff. If anyone has my original covers they could send me or post here that would be much appreciated. I lost the original files recently. Thanks in advance.

Are there any custom covers for Empire of Dreams? I got a disc only copy in a lot on eBay and would like a cover for it.

There is a decent German language cover here (only German language on the back cover - the rest is in English):-

This is from part of a boxset - though may be okay if you can do something with the spine?:-

and this looks quality for a possible front cover (if you wanted to put together something yourself / merge it one of the above covers etc?):-

Well, it took a long time, but I’m happy with the work. I’m still planning Rogue One and Solo cases if I can get the art the way I like it first. Enjoy!!

I got inspired by these and wanted to finish out the trilogy. Thought I’d use quarantine as an excuse to learn PhotoShop. Here’s my take on a Rise of Skywalker VHS-style cover:

TROS

This is the first cover I’ve done, so it’s not perfect. I tried to age the poster art I found to match the classic looks of the OT covers, but it might’ve gotten a little too grainy.

Thanks to EyeShotFirst for the inspiration!

I have a CD-ROM that has about 40 styles of STAR WARS DVD covers and disc art - everything from the OT to the Clone Wars + MP3’s, Scripts, fonts and MORE.

SINCE it’s on a CDr - I’ll include it free with any trades or if you buy a DVDr set from me

IF you want a CD-Rom for FREE - you can send me a blank CDr and a SASE for the disc.

I have also posted SOME of my covers for the forum to use!

The covers I’m posting are for the ANAMORPHIC widescreen set - I just finished these last week as you can tell they are inspired by the Faces set - since thats the Laser Disc set I have

Heres some sample pictures for you to drool over

Right-Click and save target as for the cover for -> The Empire Strikes Back
Right-Click and save target as for the cover for -> Return of the Jedi

This may give me an idea for an HD DVD version of the Original Trilogy.

Hello there! I’m currently looking into getting some custom magnet covers made for my steelbooks in the style of the 2004 dvd set. However i’m having a hard time finding high res versions of the OT in the gold full screen style instead of the silver widescreen version. Does anyone know where i might find them?

Nicely done. I had plans to cap off the trilogy before I saw Rise, which pretty much put me on a Star Wars hiatus. I’ve actually got the roughed version of my Rouge One somewhere in the bowels of my hard drive.

In anticipation of the official ROTJ DeEd 3.1 4K release, I created some UHD artwork (DVD versions also available).

UHD (4K) Blu-ray: https://drive.google.com/file/d/130M9JMoRdT6oYjM3Dvm22sNgpkifrJuK/view?usp=drive_link
HD (1080p) Blu-ray: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1glb8XnVxqJstm_FOE11EsGmeCgS6HBQ4/view?usp=sharing
DVD: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rcddg4WCtAqhiOhyaLPqw_1UCww4d050/view?usp=sharing

The only difference between 4K and 1080p cover art is the logos (Blu-ray vs Ultra HD Blu-ray)

They’re designed to be in the style of the 1990 VHS releases (Star Wars, Empire, and Jedi), but there are a few places where I modernized things a bit. These owe a lot to the work of ChainsawAsh and EyeShotFirst. There’s nothing preservation-specific about these covers, so they’d work just as well for Despecialized, 4Kxx, D+xx, or anything else you like.

Disc art is also included, in a matching style (including distinct designs for the 1981 version of Star Wars and the 70mm version of Empire).
