‘They Shall Not Grow Old’ Trailer

From what I heard they had a lip reader to figure out what they were saying in the original footage. They even went as far as to hire voice actors from the same regions that the troops were from.

This might be the most detailed documentary ever made

“Get over violence, madness and death? What else is there?”

Here’s an image that didn’t get into any of the cuts of Blade Runner which features imagery of Mr & Mrs Deckard hanging out on the porch of their house. Wierd eh? It’s about as un Blade-Runnery as you could get.

I’ve enjoyed each and every single one of Michael Bay’s Transformers movies, and no, I don’t mean that as in guilty pleasures, I genuinely like them.

Does anyone know what year black and white was overtaken by color in Hollywood? I.e., what was the first year there were more color flicks than B&W?

Fun in Balloon Land is still the absolute worst movie I’ve ever seen (if it even qualifies as a movie) and probably will never be beaten, so it’s probably the worst movie I ever will see.

When’s something gonna happen?

Oh God! I’ve only seen the Cinema Snob’s review, and even I can tell: That is one movie I don’t want to touch with a stick the size of a football field!

I have altered Lucas’ visions. Pray I don’t alter them any further.

On a side note, I’ve watched IHE’s review of Manos: The Hands of Fate, and I can safely say that Manos is the second worst film I’ve ever seen. Still doesn’t beat FIBL, if that even qualifies as a film!

When’s something gonna happen?

I’ve seen MST3K’s infamous episode of Manos, and boy, I felt the same way as Mike and the gang when watching that one!

The Land Before Time is visually gorgeous but suffers from way too many mean spirited rivalries that detract from the narrative.

I’m just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe.

Star Wars has 3 eras: The eras are 1977-1983(pre Expanded Universe), (1983-2014) expanded universe, or (2014- now) Disney-bought version. Each are valid.

I’ve been thinking about one aspect of the first Men in Black movie, namely the Arquilian civilization.

In the movie the Arquilians are established as being so advanced that they’ve managed to store the energy of an entire galaxy in a pebble. As an adult I’ve come to realize that a civilization that has advanced such a degree would be facing situations and problems way beyond the capacity or understanding of the MiB.

I absolutely adore the aesthetic of early '80s movies. I’ll never get enough of that simply gorgeous grain and the lo-fi treblelicious sound that kinda sounds like it’s coming out of a megaphone. If you want an example of what I’m talking about, watch Airplane! ('80) (or at least the trailer) and/or the criminally underrated Modern Problems ('81). Ain’t the lo-fi feel to it just beaut?

P.S. I know the aesthetic is earlier than that, I just chose that era as an overall representative example.
