After some intense googling, I found the following:

Some gorgeous art in there - may have to pop into the local bookstore for a further examination of that ‘The Art Of Solo’…

Cheers for the link mate 😃

My thoughts on Solo:

Pros:

· Really good cast. I think Ehrenreich did a great job at capturing the essence of Han, and I enjoyed Glover’s interpretation of Lando, even if at times it felt a bit like a pastiche of Williams’ iteration of the character. I’m typically not the biggest fan of Clarke or Harrelson, but I thought they did well in their respective roles.
· Great score! Powell really nailed it at delivering a fun score that feels both unique and instantly at home with the Star Wars soundscape.
· A mostly successful hit joke ratio, even if a few of L3’s one liners felt a little unripe.

Cons:

· Sadly, it’s just not a very good looking movie. The cinematography is jarring and unpleasant to look at, and the production design is uninspired and rather bland. Everything was just so grimy and dark, I felt myself straining at times to make out what was happening on screen. Really disappointing, especially after how visually gorgeous TFA, R1, and TLJ were.
· The climax felt rushed.
· The Maul cameo was groan-inducing and entirely unnecessary.

Overall, I thought it was… alright? Probably better than Rogue One in my book, and much better than any of the prequels, though that’s not saying much. It’s a mostly enjoyable, if somewhat safe and forgettable heist flick. I give it three and a half golden dice out of five, maybe three.

They should get the Naughty Dog/Uncharted game developers to make a Han Solo video game.

They were just doing that and then EA cancelled the project and closed the studio. (it was not a Han Solo game but a Star Wars game by the writer of the Uncharted series)

Han: Hey Lando! You kept your promise, right? Not a scratch?
Lando: Well, what’s left of her isn’t scratched. All the scratched parts got knocked off along the way.
Han (exasperated): Knocked off?!

Yeah Amy Hennig worked on Uncharted and Legacy of Kain, it could have been great.

I’m curious if they’ll make a Solo sequel

It’ll be intriguing to see if they continue an arc into the next standalone film - maybe a character or two from Solo popping up, a continuation of The Crimson Dawn or Nefys Nest stories etc - in let’s say… a Fett or Kenobi ‘A Star Wars Story’ film… a mini-trilogy of sorts?

A direct Solo sequel? I hope so - though seemingly not. Books and comics may be the way for any continuance of the characters & events from Solo.

A Solo sequel that isn’t burdened with back story or crowded with characters would be great. I’d also love it if they moved off the saga completely. As for continuing characters, give me Enfys any day. She’s been one of my favorite characters in a long long time. Sorry the film was so weighed down as it took time away from her. She is a true non-saga character and has a really interesting mystery and depth. She’s an awesome Random. A character who could carry a story unrelated to The Saga.

You’re right though, I’m probably looking at EU to get my fix.

I really liked Enfys Nest too. The train heist was entertaining and her theme section of the score is great. I loved it later when she jumps from above, hits the ground with her weapon, and sends a bunch of people flying. Her hinted at backstory was interesting as well. Excellent character design.

I’m beyond grateful that Disney is willing to give us an extensive behind-the-scenes look at the making of this movie.

Are they also going to give us a behind-the-scenes look at the first time they made the movie and then decided to scrap it?

Just saw Solo. Forgive me if this has been covered, but wasn’t the Millennium Falcon shown in Revenge of the Sith sporting a traditional (if not as beaten up as in the OT) exterior?

There were a few ships of the same model (and it is a modular-type range of ship) shown in ROTS - I wouldn’t be surprised if George or someone at Lucasfilm said something along the lines of ‘yeah, sure - that could’ve been the Falcon if you want it to be’ etc - though I don’t think there was anything official stating it definitely was?

There were, of course, also a few other ‘easter egg’ type references in the Prequels too. It probably rhymes or something 😉

Thanks for that. It’s quite ironic (now) that Lando promises he’ll take care of the Falcon in Ep 6. “Not a scratch” he assures the guy who totally destroyed its sleek exterior!

according to the official site , that was indeed the Falcon in Revenge Of The Sith…https://www.starwars.com/databank/millennium-falcon and a relevant article explains the “plot hole” in Solo…https://screenrant.com/solo-explains-away-revenge-sith-easter-egg-problem/

That’s awesome - thanks! I’m assuming there’s a similar backstory somewhere re how Chewie lost his first bandolier…(just kidding!)
