It was interesting listening to these two albums back to back, though I don’t think it helped Three Cheers, which seems a lot more immature and trying hard to be dark and edgy, whereas Bullets pulls that off effortlessly. It’s like the album equivalent of a fourteen year old girl.

Not enough people read the EU.

I love these both for different reasons. I reckon The Black Parade is their “magnum opus” but Danger Days is too much fun to write off as inferior.

I haven’t listened to this in a while, and it’s definitely held up.

I’ve been listening to a lot of Pink Floyd as of late.

Meddle was the last one I listened to. Probably my favorite too, alongside Wish You Were Here.

Bowie - Blackstar

The only track I don’t like is Sue (Or in a Season of Crime). Overall 9/10.

Yay, someone else that appreciates Meddle! “Echoes” might be my favorite Floyd song. And “Fearless” is criminally underrated.

Agreed. Also “A Pillow of Winds” is their most beautiful song imo.

OKNOTOK (last year’s remaster of Radiohead’s OK Computer)

Have only listened to the remastered tracks from the original album, not the bonus disc, but damn I forgot how much I love this album. Didn’t notice anything off with the remaster, and it sounded very nice - might have to A/B with my original CD just to see what’s different about it.

This was a fantastic remaster of a classic album! Was just jamming out to “Airbag” today 😃

I do love that record. Big spook-show fun.
I’ll always wonder why he makes such fun music but such joyless films.

His Halloween 2 may have been the most joyless film I’ve ever seen. I don’t hate it or anything, in fact there are actually things in it that I quite like, but my God is it joyless.

Never watched the sequel, but god was the first one dumb. The first thing I thought when I saw the original was “man, this is alright, but it would be way better if Michael’s backstory was half the film, and everyone was a redneck.”

I think you’ve slightly underrated No Need to Argue and slightly overrated Everybody Else, Faithful Departed, and Roses. But essentially I agree with you.

I’ve never actually listed to Coffee somehow. And I didn’t even know about Something Else, although I’m generally not into acoustic cover albums.

Manic Street Preachers - Resistance Is Futile

The deluxe version comes as a book with 2 CDs - 1 full of demos.

Only listened to the demos as yet - beautiful lyrics (solace in the things we love, yet honest and with a touching feel) and vocals.

‘Dylan & Caitlin’ is especially so - a great & passionate duet from JDB and The Anchoress.
