Are people saying that it should be removed from the celebration? Can’t it just be implied he picked it back up while he was slowly dragging Vader’s body down to a shuttle bay?

Sounds good to me.

As a suggestion to Adywan,

In regards to making the ground battle at Endor bigger and adding all the Rebel troop action, I totally agree. This is the final battle of the trilogy, the ground battle should be better than the previous ones (Scarif comes to mind). I suggest that you include AT-STs and even an AT-AT or two in the battle against the Rebel troops, as the AT-AT is seen on Endor but never utilized. Maybe use the 2015 Battlefront reveal trailer as inspiration?
Either way, you could add scout trooper snipers, some heavy machine gunners, and TIE bomber air strikes on top of the walkers to make the scene more memorable and stand out amongst other ground battles.

Another suggestion, this one very secondary, is to have a “montage style” section right before the Battle of Endor, showing Rebel offensives on many planets across the galaxy. This is really a way to show the true scope of the Galactic civil war.

As a final suggestion (but that is unlikely to happen) is to add a new opening scene. One of the problems with ROTJ is that people say Vader was made obedient and “on a leash”, so he wasn’t seen as dangerous as before. Well my fanboy dream would be to see Vader leading stormtroopers against Rebels in a rundown city, and watch him mow down Rebels with ease, to a greater extent than what we see in Rogue One. This would make him a lot more fearsome in the movie IMO, and be a parallel to Luke taking down dozens of Jabba’s guards. Kind of previewing the skill of two fighters before their final confrontation.

Here is a Suggestion for adywan

People never point this out during the fight Luke hits Vader’s lightsaber not the blade the hilt so Vader lightsaber should be cut in half so when Luke hits vaders light saber cut off half of it using photo shop and shift Vader hand up that would be a cool effect

I think I did see that mentioned somewhere in here much earlier in the thread. It just needs to be fixed though so he hits the blade instead or it’s not noticeable that he accidentally hits the hilt, not change the story itself 😉

I really like the idea some people had to move the scene of Luke on Dagobah to the beginning of the movie, to make it seem as if he returned for more training earlier than he did, and also add the lightsaber building scene here, made to look like it takes place on Dagobah.

I know it’s not a story change just a cool Cosmetic change and it could be symbolism for how broken of a man vader is

Before the expiration of the $1,000 challenge offer tomorrow, 12th November, please can I take this opportunity to encourage anyone who enjoys Ady’s Revisited project, but has not yet donated, to do so? There is still time to have your donation matched by the very generous offer made by 1,000 Challenge. There has never been a better time to donate to Revisited, as your donation will effectively be doubled at no extra expense to you.

I would like to thank 1,000 Challenge for his kindness and generosity in making this offer, and of course also Adywan for his continued hard work, dedication, talent and generosity at making and sharing the Revisited films with the rest of us.

I really enjoy and appreciate Ady’s work, and so I have just made a donation as part of the $1,000 challenge. Please consider doing likewise. Thank you.

The battle of Scarif does not belong to the Trilogy (hence it does not belong to this project, unless Rogue One: Revisited is on scope but I don’t think it is).

This is it, the finale day for the Return of the Jedi: Revisited week long $1,000 challenge. Send Adywan a donation along with a note that it’s part of the challenge, and I will match all donations up to $1,000.

As a kid, I spent an inconceivable amount of time watching Star Wars, playing Star Wars, and talking about Star Wars. I’m old enough to remember the daunting five year wait it took for Star Wars to go from screen to HBO. I’ve seen the original trilogy 100s of times, so I really appreciate what Adywan has done. He’s taken something that’s old and that I love and made it new again. For the rest of my life I expect Adywan’s Revisited will be my definitive version of these films. With all the members here, and Adywan’s friends on Facebook, I’ll be disappointed if we don’t reach the $1000 target, especially after the great first day we had. Some have done their part and more, but there are clearly others who enjoy and follow the Revisited Project, but are willing to just sit on their hands. There is a note on Facebook mentioning that if everyone who looked at the post about donating sent in only $1, he’d have raised over $15,000.

This is the finale day where $5 can = $10 or $10 can = $20.

Something that’s always bothered me: in the shot of Admiral Piett and his assistant jumping to avoid the B-Wing when it crashes, there seems to be some kind of garbage element around them. I’d like to see this removed.

A HUGE thank you to everyone that donated to the $1000 challenge and the first donation drive. WE DID IT !!! We not only passed the target set by the $1000 challenge, but also reached out target £3000 donation drive goal too. I now have enough to cover the new PC parts and the live action pilots shoot. Also a huge thank you to 1,000 challenge who generously started the challenge.

PC parts have now been delivered and i’m starting to rebuild the PC, so i expect to be able to start work in the next week. I have also begun to order all the materials needed to build the B-Wing cockpit & pilot costumes etc. I’ll start posting pictures as things progress.

The draw for the donation prizes will be taking place next weekend. Winners will be notified through the email address they donated with and also announced on this page.

Congratulations on the success of the challenge and meeting key milestones - absolutely well deserved ady and I can’t wait to see what you do with eps 4 and 6.

Here’s a question which I don’t think has been addressed yet: Will the Ghost (from the Rebels TV show) appear in your ROTJ (or indeed ANH)? A little cameo like your inclusion of Chopper at Echo Base would be awesome.

We know from Rogue One that Hera, Chopper and The Ghost are present at the battle of Scarif (so very much active at the time of the destruction of the first Death Star), and we now know from one of the Forces of Destiny shorts (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cs_vQgnVnIM) that Hera, Chopper and The Ghost at the very least are present during the aftermath of the Battle of Endor. Given that, it’s not a huge leap to allow for their presence during the space battle of the Second Death Star - it’d be great to see it at least in the background of the odd shot.

I am very excited for the success of the donation drive. Thank you 1,000 Challenge. Very generous indeed, I am glad our donations went further. I am excited for the production of these projects.

Obviously all the contributors need a cameo in the shots in the celebration scenes/riot scenes. 😉

First of all, I’m sorry I couldn’t donate, as I’m currently moving from Ohio to South Carolina and am in between jobs and looking for an apartment.

Anyway, I stupidly took your challenge to mean that, you would match any each and every one single person who donated between zero and 1000 bucks. Meaning if Sam donated 1000, you’d donate 1000. Then if Sally donated 800, so would you. Next, Bob donates another 1000 and, again you match it. But if Jim donated to 1001 dollars, you wouldn’t match that. I was thinking, “Man this guy must be rich! What if 15 people each donate $1000! Then he’s out $15,000!” I don’t think I’ve ever even had 15 grand at one time.

I know this is impossible, but I’ve always loved that deleted sandstorm scene after they blow up Jabbas barge. Luke and Han have a very tender and heartfelt parting.

I would have loved to see this scene included in a ROTJ with a slightly darker tone. I’m sure Lucas cut it because it didn’t fit with his happy-go-lucky vision for Jedi.
