Some members can get a bit narky and may think you are are taking the mick
I get this via context, but only via context. Are you sure those are all actual words?
Here’s a thought why do my posts keep disappearing?
How many posts have disappeared? and what were they?
If you are referring to a single post talking about Empire Strikes Back (was it something about audio?) in poita’s Star Wars Special Edition 35mm Preservation thread - then yes, I deleted it.
Please try to post in a relevant thread - which that certainly wasn’t.
Thank you.
Okay that explains one
and yes that was the wrong spot to put that sorry.
I sometimes Post in the wrong thread. Sometimes it’s purely mistake I have
two threads open and I post in the wrong one.
other times i’m not sure where I should post something and don’t want to start a new topic
so I try to find somewhere that is marginally relevant. But I’m usually wrong.
Another missing post was one I thought I put here about if there were 4K laser discs?
No worries - though it may be better to just have one thread open to try and help cut down the posts in the wrong threads? Some members can get a bit narky and may think you are taking the mick, or possibly being a troll etc (and we have had instances in the past where people have intentionally derailed certain threads).
If you do make a post in the ‘wrong’ thread let one of us moderators know and we’ll delete it for you - or you can edit your post to just contain a ‘.’ and say something like ‘sorry - posted in wrong thread’ etc.
If you can’t find what a relevant thread to post your thoughts in try entering this into an online search engine like google, startpage, bing, duckduckgo etc… ‘site:originaltrilogy.com xxxx’ - the xxxx is where you’d put what you want to talk about / title of a discussion thread.

They may not all be necessarily in the right order - but they are all words 😉

I’m dying to know though, would you watch MLP if your children didn’t watch it? That’s the ultimate question.
The answer is obviously yes. He’s already said he likes it quite a bit.
JEDIT: There you go.
Well this is the first I’m seeing of it.
Yes, I would. I do, actually.
I would watch it less frequently and I wouldn’t go to the theatre to watch it, but I would still watch it.
Oh man.
I do not, however, watch anime nor nitpick about how english subtitles with original japanese VO are superior to english dubs.
Regardless of country of origin, the original voicework with subtitles is always superior to an english dub. I had to watch a load of foreign films in college and the english dubs were always unwatchable.
There are some exceptions, like Spaghetti Westerns. They dubbed some of the actors lines in English, since they originally spoke in their native tongue.
Guess I’ll let it go.
Take it to the Frozen thread.
Let it go, let it go! :p
I have a brilliant stupid idea for when my character hits level 3 and gets the ability to cast Charm Person in D&D. I’ll make the verbal component the Universal Greeting.

I guess you brought it full circle
So how was the extra hour of sleep?

Technically, most spaghetti westerns are dubs no matter what, since they were filmed silent to save money and they just had the actors speak in their native language on set (English, Italian, and Spanish most of the time). All dialogue was dubbed in after the fact for every language, even the “original” Italian.
That’s why some of the sync in, say, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly - even for the American actors who spoke English on set and dubbed themselves for the English track - is obviously off so much of the time.
So for most spaghetti westerns, there really is no “original” audio track.
Also, I have to say that while I agree wholeheartedly about seeing live action material in its original language with subs, for animated stuff I’ll usually go for the dub, though I usually try to give the original a listen, if not the first time through, and sometimes I end up preferring the sub even for animated stuff. I still don’t like Spike’s English voice for Cowboy Bebop because I watched it subbed first and the personalities are just so different…
More seldom than not, the movies gives us exquisite sex and wholesome violence, that underscores our values.
Every two child did.
I will.

Never forget.
For a time we thought he would go down as the worst president in history.
Nobody touches James Buchanan.
Andrew Johnson was horrible too.

Holy reading my mind Batman. I was gonna say the same thing, but couldn’t be bothered to find the right thread.
Accidentally referred to Kevin Spacey as Stacey the other day… Oops!
Stacey Spacey? That’s weird.
What age did you guys get your first girlfriend (or boyfriend)? Because I’m 16 now, and I’ve never gotten so much as a playful kiss on the cheek, let alone gotten into a full fledged relationship. Is that normal or am I just really lame?

I know this won’t be even remotely encouraging, but you’re not missing much. I don’t think I’ve met anyone with fond memories of relationships they’ve had between the ages of 13 and 16. If you want a girl or boyfriend anyway then it’s basically just trial and error. I went through three or four noes before I found someone at that age and I didn’t even like the person I ended up with so don’t go asking people out for the sake of asking them out.

18, for four months, and nothing since. I didn’t even consider a relationship of any kind being a possibility beforehand. My youngest sister had her first boyfriend at 16, which was really weird to me. Honestly, you are still very young, you shouldn’t worry about it.
School events are always a good excuse for a first date.

Then you don’t really have a Banana, do you?
