I’m sure they would have gone with that if it wasn’t a script requirement that the top of the ship be completely flat. As to the reason it’s flat…who knows.

I don’t care either. The ST joins TCW in the realm of interesting but essentially inconsequential possible worlds which, to me, aren’t part of the “real” SW Universe.
I hope the next two sequels come out all right, but I have no real emotional investment in The Adventures of Rey Random to speak of, so I remain an apathetic sumbitch.

Where were you in '77?
Oh yeah, I was reading up on the Specs of Snoke’s personal ship. I began to question why it needed to be so large (aside from the fact that the First Order’s MO being “Empire but bigger!”) And I started to wonder. What if the Order’s not actually in control of any real planets after SKB was destroyed, and this ship is effectively what they’re using instead of a homeworld?

Around 10-15 mins could well be just the end credits 😉
I hope there’ll be a few space battles - though not for the sake of just having them because it is a Star Wars movie - but because it is important to the story, and will have an emotional resonance for whatever it’ll be they are fighting for - to actually be drawn into it.
Plus, something a little different (whether angles, direction, style, points-of-view etc) - would be welcome for some of the space battles too…
