First two are good/great. Second is one of my favorites.
All of the others are garbage.
That is what we thought about the OT.
But, yeah, they probably won’t do that. :\

Time for a fourth reboot:
Again they need to annonce a new trilogy, isn’t this like the third new trilogy that they’re trying to make? How about making one good movie first… Well, I’m hopeful for the new film but the whole franchise has become a mess.
And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

I hope Cameron addresses this (the franchise becoming a mess) and that this 6th film is somewhere close to the quality of the first two - it seems he has said that this film will carry on from T2 - but will also acknowledge some of the events from T3/4/5…
Having Linda Hamilton back & Cameron being more involved is a promising start…
A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

As I said, whatever. Just get us a fucking Blu-ray of T1 with the original mono. Why is that so fucking hard?

Cameron’s too busy erasing Patrick’s doodle to concern himself with something so trivial.
As crazy as this may sound, they may not see “mono” as a big selling point anymore in 2017. It should obviously be included, but they are probably afraid uninformed people will listen to the mono track by accident and hear how flat it sounds quality wise (even if the sound effects are Superior) and be turned off. I’m sure someone out there has made a patched version of the 5.1 mix and fixed the effects though.

Balls and doodles are two (or three, depending) different things.
Canadian schools really need an upgrade.
It’s a deliberate creative decision.

I understand that it’s not a selling point to anyone except purists, but there’s no reason to leave it off the disc.

There is actually. Not a great one, but still a reason.
and that is?
Already stated.
oh.

I dunno, I see what you mean, but frankly, if the average person ever switches to any audio track besides the one that the disc starts with, I’d frankly be surprised. I’m not saying it should be the primary track, but even Gone With the Wind and The Wizard of Oz include the original mono, albeit in lossy DD 1.0. I’m not saying make it the primary track, just put it on there. Speaking of which, has anyone here done a restoration on the mono track for T1?

Of course, but they are probably just afraid people will do it by accident.
I can’t help but be inclined to think, especially with the color-timing controversy, that Cameron may be indulging in some revisionism of his own, but maybe I’m just paranoid.

A proper continuation after T2 would have been a backstory film showing in the beginning Skynet being developed and then becoming self-aware launching nukes to Russia and then Russia retaliating by launching nukes to the US.
The few human survivors that are left are gathered up by the machines to work in camps branded by laserscan. John Connor saves the humans from the camps and they form the human resistance with John Connor being their leader teaching them how to fight back against the machines.
The war rages on for years until near the end, as depicted in the draft of the original opening to T2, the resistance smashes Skynets defense grid and the machines become inactive winning the war for them but as a last ditch effort Skynet sends back two terminators
The resistance learns of this and capture’s the lab complex with the time displacement equipment and after Kyle Reese “volunteers” and is ready to go through John tells him to give his mother a message for him (as depicted in T1). After Reese is sent back John finds the room with the unactivated terminators and see’s the one from T2.

This. And it would’ve been released on 29 August 1997 to coincide with the date of Judgment Day (Too late for that now, though.).
They can’t leave T2 alone 😦
Rogue One is redundant. Just play the first mission of DARK FORCES.
