Red Letter Media accurately described Suicide Squad as “Hot Topic: The Movie”.
Fucking A man I should sue. I’ve been calling it that since the first trailer.

KONG: SKULL ISLAND (2017)
LOVED IT! Everything you could want from a classic monster movie, it delivers in spades! It’s been so long since we’ve had a proper one. If you go see this, and I most definitely recommend you do, STAY AFTER THE CREDITS!
It wasn’t amazing or anything but I thought it was solid.
I mean for what it was it was fine, but it didn’t really do much beyond “huge monster blows shit up.”
Which is exactly what it was supposed to do.
And drains are meant to drain but that alone doesn’t make them overly interesting to watch.
Get Out - 8.5/10
Cloverfield was good. Would have been better if it ended at the helicopter crash. But it’s still very good.
Kong: Skull Island - 6/10
Incoherent but glorious.
“Incoherent”? Care to explain why you feel that way? I thought it was easy to follow. And very fun.

Not sure if incoherent was the right word. It’s a bit messy, certain scenes were just kinda “there”, like the scene where he pummeled the octopus in the lake and it was never mentioned again and didn’t move the plot forward.
I thought that was a great bit of world/character building. It showed how out of their element the humans are and that danger lurks everywhere. It also showed that Kong isn’t malicious towards humans and a peek into his daily life. I loved seeing him eat the squid!
xXx: Return of Xander Cage (2017) 6/10
A guilty pleasure.

Oldboy (2003)
9/10
The 'Burbs (1989) I hadn’t seen before until the other day. Thought it was very good but wasn’t a fan of the ending; I think closing on the “neighbourhood watch” being the insane ones would’ve suited the film a bit better.
Very good overall though, pleasantly surprised.

I’ve seen that movie many times. It’s a fun 80’s movie, especially the cast.

I love the hallway/hammer scene. Great movie.
The Watch (2012)
Enjoyable sit back and relax popcorn-muncher of a film - some nice homages, a saft & ridiculous - yet funny plot, and a quality performance from Richard Ayoade (of The IT Crowd fame)

Does not compute.
I started watching Return of the Jedi at about 6am, and its issues outweighed the good for the first time. Honestly, it gets worse each time I watch it.
Weird way to round off that marathon for at least a couple reasons.
We had Force Awakens with us, but by the time we were done with Return of the Jedi it was 9 in the morning, and we started at 4pm the day before. Everybody was dead. I suggested we not waste six hours on the prequels, but it wasn’t up to me. At least I was rewarded with the Despecialized Editions, if they were the SEs I don’t think I’d have even shown up.

I really don’t understand this. Do you actually find the Holiday Special watchable?

It gets better with each watch. It’s just so weird. Totally watchable.
I couldn’t even sit through it once. It’s not funny and it’s not exciting and it’s two hours long. I’d probably rather watch all three prequels in a row than the Holiday Special once.
