Gorillaz - Don’t Get Lost In Heaven

Love the lyric to that - plus a top track overall.

(has it really been 12 years since it’s release? Surely time for another…)

sorry mate - I love Plastic Beach track with Mick Jones - and also Revolving Doors - but overall the two albums are not at the quality of the previous releases for me (though I could be a little picky, pissed and remissful - and each to their own onipion etc).

Though bring on the promised new album.

It sounded like you didn’t know they had put out two albums after Demon Days.

I thought Plastic Beach was meh and I’ve not heard anything of The Fall.

Albarn has been saying he has written and has recorded new stuff for a new album for sometime last year - though hasn’t been released yet (who can blame him after a bad year all round?)

Am always hopeful for new stuff from them - especially if it turns out Simonon and Jones will be involved somewhere along the way (if they indeed are). Both were superb a few short years back on the Justice Tonight tour.

I love the whole ambience of the song. It’s become somewhat of a ritual for me to listen to this song as I am leaving work.

I own one song by her and that’s it. Could listen to it endlessly on repeat.

The handmaiden soundtrack is very good. Park Chan-Wook knows how to use music in his films. Old Boy soundtrack already was solid.

In The Lap Of The Gods - Queen

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

I Don’t Care Anymore - Phil Collins

I wish someone would explain why it’s so popular for people to shit on Phil Collins…sure, his music has gotten pretty tame since the early 90s, but the guy was a monster performer, songwriter, and singer back in the day.

People talk like he never had a good song. Blatantly shitting on the guy.
