I imagine someone is already planning a fan edit making RO and Star Wars into one movie. 😉

Yeah I think Disney will do that TBH.

I would not be surprised at special event screenings of the 2 films with the Gap Bridged by that Luke Binocular Shot.

It’s the Perfect Transition Shot to Make the 2 films join up. And it’s pretty easy to do…

So now I am wondering before even seeing the film what an amazing Blu-Ray this could be there must be so many stories to tell… Looking Back at all the Rumors about Bobba Fett also as that was obviously the Teaser that they made during this film production…But Wires got crossed or did they?

There must be tonnes of Material they have left for this film!!! I doubt we would see the other version but perhaps bit’s of it.

There is a Graphic Novel Comic coming that will explain a larger more detailed version of the Story with more plot threads (Some not filmed) apparently.

There was/is a Boba Fett teaser?

Star Destroyer Bridges were grey and lighted, and should be grey and lighted, not black and dark.

They’re black n’ dark in ROTJ. I just noticed this last time I watched it. Scenes on the bridge look like the characters are hanging out after close.

Darth Vader should use both hands when handling his sabre, jokes aside.

I thought he fought one handed in the OT. He certainly does for most of the ESB fight.

It was filmed and then cancelled (Teaser).

The film was cancelled or just the teaser?

Just the Teaser was filmed and the film was put on Ice or should I say frozen in carbonite 😃

Perhaps they will change their mind after the weekend box office results are in. Joe Johnston was on record as wanting to make a Boba film, wasn’t he?

Joe Johnston oh my god that would be brilliant…Some bloke called Trank or Tank was Slated to take it on but I thik he was ditched… Could be a TV thing and not a film.

Apparently further plans are being Drawn up for Forrest Whittaker Saw Gerrera depending on Success I think… He was always attached to the TV series that was never made.

I thought Trank was attached to Episode 9? Hard to keep track of these things nowadays. We’re hip deep in new Star Wars projects. 😉

Ok, just pointing out one handed Vader has a precedent. 😉

Amazing some footage has leaked. I would have thought people going into the premiere were body searched for cell phones. Of course, some one at a theater could have already run the DCP just for calibration purposes.

There are subtitles. Not sure what language but something asian. So it didn’t happen in the states.

There’s a good reason this did not end up in the film!!!

Well, just saw Rogue One. I didn’t know what to expect, and I came out loving it. All the action was spectacular, and don’t get me started on the cinematography and look of the film. Perfection in terms of visuals. The characters were all memorable. The masses were right when they said Chirrut Imwe and K-2SO were the standouts, but I really loved Bodhi Rook as well. He had charisma and was extremely likable. The music was good, but narrowly beats out The Force Awakens’ musical score to become my least favourite of all the Star Wars soundtracks.

SPOILERS

The numerous cameos from OT and PT characters were nice. Some were expected, like Vader and Mon Mothma, but others took ke completely by surprise, like Bail Organa, Leia, Red Leader, Gold Leader, and especially Dr Evazon and Ponda Baba (I was not expecting them). The part when Vader slaughters all the Rebels was cool, but it felt a bit out of place. I’m not sure why, maybe the tone. The start was a little jumpy, but nothing too bad. Other than that, that’s about it for flaws. The deaths of all the main characters were handled very, very well, all of them poignant (except for Rook’s, which was a little disappointing), and satisfying.

Very little for me to complain about, maybe it’s the hype, but I’ll give this movie nine out of ten for now (that’ll probably change when I see it a second time.

Not enough people read the EU.

Trank was going to do an Anthology film- then Fan4stic bombed hard at the box office and there were stories of him going unhinged and wrecking the house he was staying at and I think drug use. Don’t forget the infamous tweet about the amazing version of the FF film that we will never see.

It seems like people are really embracing the new characters. In fact, the big question people ask me now about Star Wars is, “Are Finn and Poe gay lovers?” And really how the f*ck would I know? My second husband left me for a man, so my gaydar isn’t exactly what you’d call Death Star level quality. ----Carrie Fisher

I think Edrio is now either called Benthic or his twin is called Benthic… Confusing or what?

There better be tons of deleted scenes on the Rogue One Blu-ray when we get it! Along with special effects and creature effects featurettes and a concept art gallery plus a featurette about all of the weapons from the movie! It would be super cool if the Blu-ray packaging itself looked like the container which held the Death Star plans. 😃

Saw it tonight and enjoyed it; I think it was better than The Force Awakens, but I still need to lie in bed and think about it to be sure!

There’s a scene where one of the characters is looking through some binoculars and there is some random text flickering past. It may just have been a trick of my brain, but I think I saw the text “TK421” for a few frames 😛

Really interested to hear what people think about R1 who didn’t like TFA. This review has me once again leaning to not seeing any more fake SW movies:

<<<But the injunction not to ruin anyone’s good time by “revealing spoilers and detailed story points” is itself revealing, an indication of the meager and disposable pleasures this movie is meant to provide, and also of the low regard its makers have for the audience. It hasn’t always been this way, of course. The first “Star Wars” trilogy had a fresh, insurgent energy, and learning the names of all those planets and galactic adventurers has seemed, to generations of fans, like a new and special kind of fun.

Now, though, it is starting to feel like drudgery, a schoolbook exercise in a course of study that has no useful application and that will never end.

You’re left wanting both more and less. There are too many characters, too much tactical and technical explanation, too much pseudo-political prattle. And at the same time, there isn’t quite enough of the filial dynamic between Galen and Jyn, and not enough weight given to the ethical and strategic problems of rebellion. When might ends justify means? What kind of sacrifice is required in the service of a righteous cause?

Popular art — “Star Wars” included — has often proved itself capable of exploring these kinds of questions with clarity, vigor and even a measure of nuance. But “Rogue One” has no such ambitions, no will to persuade the audience of anything other than the continued strength of the brand. It doesn’t so much preach to the choir as propagandize to the captives, telling us that we’re free spirits and partners on the journey. The only force at work here is the force of habit.

Although I enjoyed R1 far more than TFA, they indeed suffer from the same reliance on the old story as each other (TFA mimicks the plot, R1 the nods and acknowledgements to ANH). The only thing I enjoyed more within R1 was that it seems more permissible to have those links. Indeed it didn’t reinvent the wheel, we were subject to clear fan-service within the cameos and the vader moments - all of which could be cut and not affect the story in any way - but such is the guilty pleasure of STAR WARS - and if it became so distant and alien from the core franchise that we love so much, we probably wouldn’t enjoy it as much at all.

Yet another stuffy ass article bashing Rogue One! Both the new yorker and the new york times are trying to out-upper crust each other over Star Wars, these clowns need to take a break.

I really enjoyed it - it felt like Star Wars; immersive, real, uncomfortable with varying shades of grey from some of our ‘heroes’ - and a story which you could connect to - and was delivered so well.

Wanted go back and watch it again straightaway 😃

Hope that Gareth Edwards - and his crew - are given the chance to do more Star Wars films - they certainly raised the bar for the films to come…

None of this takes place in the movie… look like they reshot the whole ending.
