Even after all he has said and done. The US President supporting a fascist group, who had a member that assassinated one of my countries’ (UK) politicians is a new low. I’d guess Moore is gonna win. If credible evidence surfacing of your candidate molesting children didn’t immediately make you want to switch to the other candidate, I don’t think a couple of weeks further thought is going to make you less likely to switch. Not based on any evidence or polls, just that good old post-Brexit/Trump “Whatever is the worst possible result… will be the result” pessimism 😉.

Nazi propaganda kept showing up again and again during his campaign, but they kept deleting/revising the Nazi images as soon as they were found out. The media response was generally that it was an accident, that he clearly didn’t intend it, but why was his campaign going through Nazi propaganda sites in the first place? That’s pretty much verbatim what Politifact kept saying again, and again, and again:

Based on the evidence available, it seems unlikely that the Trump campaign intended to put out a Star of David image. In fact, the campaign moved to replace the star with a circle when the image gained attention.

Having said that, this seems to be yet another a case of Trump using social media to broadcast material that comes from sources with a history of spreading racism, anti-Semitism or white supremacy. It is unusual to see a presidential campaign operate with such a lack of message discipline.

Eventually this “oopsie my silly browser cache did it, not me” excuse will wear thin. But not today.

“If some Native Americans were offended by the use of this term, I’m sorry that they’re so wrong,” the expert said. “As a white person, I think I’m in a better position to know about this stuff.”

She also defended the decision to honor the Navajo veterans near a portrait of Andrew Jackson, who is widely reviled by Native Americans. “Before we held the ceremony, we consulted with a number of other white experts, and we all agreed that Andrew Jackson was great,” she said.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders defended President Donald Trump’s decision to retweet a series of anti-Muslim videos from a British far-right account on Wednesday morning, telling reporters he circulated them to start a conversation about border security and immigration.

Sanders also said she doesn’t know how the videos got in front of Trump and wouldn’t say whether they were real.

“Whether it is a real video, the threat is real,” Sanders told a small group of reporters after appearing on Fox News. “That is what the President is talking about, that is what the President is focused on is dealing with those real threats, and those are real no matter how you look at it.”

When pressed on whether it matters if the video is real, Sanders said reporters were “focusing on the wrong thing.”

“The threat is real,” she said, later adding that “the threat needs to be addressed. The threat has to be talked about and that is what the President is doing in bringing that up.”

Often, when Sanders is in the news, my mother will bring up the fact that she briefly lived in my hometown, as if that’s something to be proud of. I hate it so much because I want to say that Sanders is a piece of crap, but I can’t because then she’d realize that my political views don’t align exactly with hers/dad’s and I’d be in major trouble.

Should I have to keep a Nazi on my staff just because he hasn’t broken any laws?
If someone claims to be a Nazi and believes it’s ok to do Nazi shit, I don’t care if they’ve actually done anything Nazi related, they’re trash to me.
And if anybody thinks that’s unfair, that’s just fine.
