I know, right? Mel Brooks can be very funny. Unfortunately he can also be very unfunny. That one reminds you of how good he can be, and it’s just a shame he can’t maintain it.

Mel is always funny, don’t you blaspheme in here!
I just watched Spaceballs. Joke success rate approx. 40%.
Spaceballs > Ridiculous Menace
Don’t do drugs, unless you’re with me.

Spaceballs > Ridiculous Menace
Sounds reasonable.
Mel Brooks hasn’t made a good film since 1977, ironically.

Trifon Ivanov died last week - probably remembered by most for being part of the Bulgaria side at the '94 World Cup - they had a top team back then with Stoichkov, Letchkov, Balakov, Kostadinov, and Mihaijlov in goal.
RIP you werewolf warrior - and top player too 😃

Sad news, he was a genius.

James Bond Designer Sir Ken Adam Dies Aged 95
“First feel fear, then get angry. Then go with your life into the fight.” - Bill Mollison
As a big fan of both the Beatles and James Bond this has been a rough week. Both George Martin and Ken Adam were integral to the success of their respective projects. The James Bond films he designed had an incredible look to them, with amazing sets.
They both lived long, healthy lives though so good for them.

How is it possible no one mentioned Nancy Davis Reagan?

I was going to mention it, then I just said “NO” to myself.

The very first album I ever bought. Still listen to it with some regularity. As I do The Beatles.
I don’t usually chime in on this thread because it’s at times deeply depressing. The losses of icons in my life is as hard for me as it is some of our younger members. A fan is a fan, no matter when you discover the artist\actor\singer\etc. However, for those of us much further into the journey, the loses can also be quite sobering.
I jumped in here because George Martin had a hand in an enormous portion of my life. It’s an understatement for sure to say he’s been a huge influence on the soundtrack of my life.
How is it possible no one mentioned Nancy Davis Reagan?
I was wondering that too just now. I don’t really follow this thread too much cuz it’s depressing, but I was going to post it but thought “nah, there’s no way someone hasn’t already posted about it.”

That is probably what everyone was thinking

I see what you did there.
