Now that the saga is complete, which do you think is the best of the six?
"A Jedi can feel the force flow through him".

Now that I think about it, I can't really say I care for any of them.

All the official covers are pure shite. Any future 6 movie box set should use the struzan art, or the original theatrical posters (which for the prequels will still be the Struzan art.
But as far as these shitty official DVDs go, I think Revenge is my favourite, only because of the Obi-Wan/Anakin duel at the bottom.

I had to go with A New Hope. I think it was mostly the color combination. To be honest, I really enjoyed all three of the covers of the original trilogy release. The only thing I didn't like about them was the new titles he uses for them. STAR WARS!!!! EPISODE V!!!!...*mumbles*theempirestrikesback*mumbles*. Too bad so many other film series are doing that now, like The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia.

C3PX said: Gaffer is like that hot girl in high school that you think you have a chance with even though she is way out of your league because she is sweet and not a stuck up bitch who pretends you don’t exist… then one day you spot her making out with some skinny twerp, only on second glance you realize it is the goth girl who always sits in the back of class; at that moment it dawns on you why she is never seen hanging off the arm of any of the jocks… and you realize, damn, she really is unobtainable after all. Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

Well funny you should say that.
I replaced all my DVD's with the poster art versions, and was so chuffed I had to show everyone who came to my house.
I showed my 13 year old niece, and to my dismay, she prefered the official covers.
She said the poster art versions looked boring, and that if on the store shelf, she'd go for the official versions as they make the film look more exciting.
But she's 13 so what does she know

These are the covers I now have
Even made up my own ROTS version based on these designs. I like em

Hmn maybe ROTS or ESB. Not sure... My favorite art of them all is the infamous red REVENGE of the Jedi poster.

I've got an original Star Wars poster from '77 hanging in my house - my dad works in a hospiatl and one of the lightsaber fight choreographers was getting treated. My Dad mentione dthat his son loved Star Wras, so the guy gave him an original poster. It looks so damn good framed in the hallway as you enter.

I've got a poster I got from Disneyworld around 1995, it's for ESB and it's just got space in the background and Vader's helmet in the foreground. On the very top it says "The Star Wars Saga Continues" and at the very bottom it says "Coming to your galaxy this summer. That and my "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" poster are the only posters I own that have never moved since they were put up. They're just too awesome to take down.

I don't much care for any of em either. I would like it if they had put this poster as the DVD art for ROTJ.

Ah, you obviously forgot of an important economical factor related to the continuous increase of Star Wars memorabilia prices, called the "my-mom-throwed-it-away" factor. This annoying circustance can be found in other events such as comic book collections, toys collections, and specially at porn magazine collections.

the biggest sin is Ian McDiarmid not appearing in the poster!

I think it's still in my parents loft. I got load of old Star Wars shit up there. Ships in boxes and alot of old toys, and stuff like that.
When I get a bigger house, there will be a shrine to Star Wars

Personally, I prefer the ESB cover the most. ROTS coming in a close second. However, it is just me or is the Emperor's face a bit on the freaky side.
Rock. Nirvana. Awsomeness.

If I only had the time and money to do it, I would. got some spare room in my new apartment, I was thinking of doing a Geekdom Shrine and fill it with SW and anime stuff.

My comments about the "my-mom-throwed-it-away" factor is related to an interview I watched with this guy who ran a comic book store for colectors, and he had some cool stuff like spiderman 1 and the infamous superman one (action comics? dont remember...) with him lifting the car, and lots of other minor collectible stuff, and he said everyday there were guys who came in and said "I had one of those as a kid, I paid 50 cents on it back then, and hand't my mom throwed it away I could sell it for a thousand dollars now!", and he replied "well, if all of those moms hadn't thrown all of those comics away, all over the world, this comic book would still cost 50 cents." - So moms all over the world are responsible for the collectiable memorabillia market

He's overlit. They should have put him more in the shadows.
