Hi! I was wondering if anyone could tell me the font used for “A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away”? At the beginning of the movies, and if you want to be extra helpful, how to download/recreate it.
Thank-you in advance.

There is more info on the fonts and crawls etc of Star Wars here - link - and then just scroll down to ‘Some useful Star Wars font and crawl info’ - there are also some links to some free font download sites.
This thread may be of some interest as well - ‘Recreating “A long time ago”’ - link
Hope you find the info you are looking for - or someone with a lot more knowledge than me on this will be along to help you soon.
The font used for the newer Star Wars film is apparently Franklin Gothic - for the 1977 Star Wars ‘News Gothic’ or ‘Trade Gothic’ hybrid seemingly used (as it was on film there was no ‘set’ font used at the time…)
A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

‘How do I do this?’ on the OriginalTrilogy.com - includes info on how to ask for a fan project and how to search for projects and threads on OT•com.
A Project Index for Star Wars Preservations (Harmy’s Despecialized & 4K77/80/83 etc) : A Project Index for Star Wars Fan Edits (adywan & Hal 9000 etc)
Take your time to look around this site before posting… Do NOT just lazily make yet another ‘link request’ post - or a new thread asking for projects.
This thread might also be useful for you, but I’m not sure if they talk specifically about the font of “A long time ago” in there.
