The Newest butt-burger from George Lucas is the force unleashed. (The project was created with the direct input and guidance of Star Wars creator George Lucas.)  This will include Lucas ripping money from pocket with a game, a game guide, a novel, a graphic novel, a webstrip, a toy line, a reference book, a Miniatures set, and RPG supplement.

The Force Unleashed also called T.F.U. is true to the F.U. part.

The Force Unleashed is a Matrix rip-off with a Chosen One Hero with super-uber powers like Neo in the  Matrix. Once again George Lucas rewrites star wars history.

Spoilers:

Spoiler:
Galen Marek, codenamed Starkiller is a Neo rip-off.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Galen_Marek

Galen Marek defeats Darth Vader and he is more powerful than Palpatine.
Galen Marek has super-uber powers like neo.

Galen Marek dies in a blast of light like neo:
Galen opened his body to the Force and released everything he had within him. The result was an explosive blast that all but destroyed the Emperor's tower.

Galen Marek Legacy inspires like Neo's Legacy:
Galen's death inspired the Rebels to finish what he started, a full scale rebellion against the Empire.

The Force Unleashed is once of the biggest F.U. to star wars fans.

Darth Vaders apprentice from Force Unleashed could be played at Soul Calibur IV.

Maybe its some kind of not true Star Wars stuff.. but I look foreward some kind ao cool action game..

Yeah, as much as I hate the whole idea of the The Force Unleashed story wise, as just a mindless Star Wars game where you can go around with a light saber and force powers, it looks pretty cool. Come on, we all spent our childhoods wanting to do that kind of stuff, and wishing there was a game that really made you feel like a Jedi. Dark Forces II was the first game that did that for us, and as lame as the story line and cut scenes were to that game, it was awesome. Jedi Knight II was even better, and Jedi Academy kind of managed to blow. If the Force Unleashed manages to capture any of that feel at all, it could be fun.

Just put this in the same category as you'd put Elseworlds or What If comics, they don't fit into the real story line, but they are as fun as hell to read.

LFM already markets the crap out of Star Wars in every way possible, just because they are marketing the crap out of this as well does not have to ruin the whole game (if it turns out to be even worth playing). Just ignore the hype and play the game, or don't.

that new starwars game coming out on the nintendo wii seems like it'll be a true jedi experience. though, it looks something like a mortal kombat or soul calibur remake only its star wars.

I played the demo, and it is pretty cool tossing stuff (and people) around with the Force. And the graphics are nice. Seems like a bit of a mindless button-masher, though.

But hey, at least it's got TIE fighters and stormtroopers, not battle droids and robofighters!

I played the demo as well, several times in fact, and I have to say that its a lot of fun.  However, I don't think I can justify $60 for a game without multiplayer, or at least a sandbox-like environment.  Assassin's Creed had the open environment I crave, but after I beat it without multiplayer it was pointless.

That being said, I'll probably rent The Force Unleashed and blow through the campaign, but unless there's multiplayer or co-op or something, it's not worth my money.

I read the novel for The Force Unleashed. It's an excellent story. I don't know why people are crapping on it. The demo is a blast. I pre-ordered the game. Can't wait till next week!

I'm not gonna lie, after watching an hour of cinematics, it was incredible! Much better story than the prequels ('cept possibly ROTS) If they make THAT into an animated film, it would be so much better.

The extended trailer I saw, I have to admit, was pretty compelling as well. Totally inconsistent with the universe--but, much like ESB, consistency doesn't mean shit as long as its done well, and TFU seems to be one of the better plotted SW media projects since that first sequel. It has the drama, characters, and challenging themes that were absent from the PT. In a way its a shame its just a game, but I guess the SW universe is so congested with people trying to supplement or improve upon the failures of the films that we don't really need another, even if its done with some skill.

If only Clone Wars CGI was never made then TFU could be the film and CW miniseries would be the only gap between II and III. Seriously though, TFU is the perfect transition from PT to OT.

Well I played it through. It's kinda' fun and all, but the story wasn't really that good. I just don't like the idea of filling in every non-film spot with some sort of story (i.e. how the rebellion was formed! New characters that die, yadda yadda)... it's a little cheesy if you ask me.

I don't see how any of that is cheesy, but w/e everyone is entitled to their own opinion ;)

Pretty much enjoyed the game (on the Wii) - though it's pretty lame that you can't skip the cut-scenes or go back to a previous level to search for holocrons, hilts, health and sabre crystals etc without playing the whole game again.

Some of the voice acting was a bit bleh, as was the script - yet nothing too bad compared to some other games with a lot of cutscenes and dialogue.

i noticed that the facial expressions were similiar to the old gta games. the only advantage about going back to the beginning is that you get to keep everything you unlocked. anybody beat it twice to see the alternate ending?

In the alternate ending, Starkiller kills Darth Vader, the Emporer offers him a place as his new apprentice, but Starkiller turns on the Emporer with his lightsaber. The Emporer was prepared, and then gravely injures Starkiller by Force-Pulling a ship through the throne room viewing port straight into Starkiller's body, which needs intensive repairs afterward, very similar to Darth Vader.

The Emporer basically tells Starkiller something along the lines... "You could have been my equal. But now you're just a tool, and like Lord Vader, when I find a new apprentice, you will be destroyed."

You forgot to mention the part where he gets a Darth Vaderesque costume that kind of makes him look like something out of the old Dino Riders cartoon.

The alternative ending was rather predictable but the canon ending is great.

We were denied a Kotor III that showed what happened to revan in the Unknown regions for this peice of shit that craps all over oot continuity.

Some of the worst voice acting i have literally ever heard.

Rehashed plots and ideas and no original story.

The cutscenes are far less cinematic than the first 2 Kotor games and feel like the bad cgi of the prequels.

I don't care for this cardboard cutout starkiller character.  I like the Stories of Revan, Keyan Farlander, and Kyle Katarn.  Fans of the old movies wrote those and Lucas had zero involvement to crap all over them.

By the way the Farlander papers described the founding of the rebellion in a far better way.  Also The Radio Drama, and old star wars novels.  Tim Zahn's version of events was described in the thrawn trilogy.  ac crispin's han solo trilogy and the correlian trilogy also elaborated on it. Even the west end game supplements were better.

The Lucas canon version in force unleashed is stupid, goes against the novelization and deleted scenes in revenge of the sith.  Seriously this guy thought having palpatine as anakin's father was a good idea in an earlier script draft for episode III.

I mean could you see the revised return of the jedi in this instance Palpatine to Luke " I am your grandfather.  You see i created Your father by manipulating midichlorians as darth plagueis the wise taught me"lol.

Fuck Lucasharts i will buy Mass Effect 2 as soon as it is released by bioware and will support a bioware kotor III, but that is it.

“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.

"Less cinematic"? You obviously didn't play the same game as me. And the CGI was far more superior to KOTR and the voice acting wasn't as bad ashalf the voice acting from KOTR. KOTR was overated and dragged out far too long. Don't get me wrong, I liked KOTR but I don't think it was as good as everyone says. And I do believe that TFU is better than the SW fans are making it look. Don't take skyjedi's word for it, the story was new and wasn't anything we've seen before. In fact don't even take my word, go play it yourself or just watch the cutscenes yourselves.
