Can you give more info on this? Also, does anyone know of any promotions or special packaging etc. in Canada?

Lucas is taking marketing lessons from Eisner.

But will he suffer the same fate as Eisner? I bet after Episode III he retires to lake Como and we never hear anything from him again.

I never liked Spaceballs too much, mostly because Mel Brooks broke the 4th wall thing too much ("Now, sir. This is happening now.") and some jokes simply didn't work. But now I enjoy it: Spaceballs is actually better than TPM!

Although.... it would be very convenient if I could find a used copy.

Yeah you will. I guarantee it. Even the most popular DVD releases wind up on the Marketplace at Amazon. That's just the nature of the industry. People often times watch a movie once after buying it and sell it. I know a ton of people who just buy a movie on DVD without having ever seen it because they prefer the convenience of ownership to renting it. And with DVD prices the way they are, it's reasonable to do so. Then, when they don't like it, they sell it. As for not caring about it because they don't mind the changes, have you seen the thread with the scifi.com wirepoll? That would indicate otherwise.

So now Hayden giving Luke the "Hello Sailor" come hither look in ROTJ makes sense.

Excellent changes Lucas, you've finally cracked the elusive Pink market of Star Wars fans.

Now openly gay but secretly Star Wars fans everywhere can 'come out of the closet'.

Wow how did we get onto this?

"There is good in him, I've felt it."

"The last time I felt it, was in the presence of my old master."

"In time you will call me master."

"If only you knew the power of the dark side!"

"Back door, huh? Good idea!"

"You've got something jammed in here real good."

"Look at the size of that thing!"

"In you must go."

"And I thought they smelled bad... on the outside."

"Get in there you big furry oaf, I don't care WHAT you smell!"

"There's an awful lot of moisture in here."

"Mudhole? SLIMY?"

"The circle is now complete."

"Pull out Wedge, you can't do any more good back there!"

"Grab me, Chewie. I'm slipping -- hold on. Grab it, almost...you almost got it. Gently now, all right, easy, easy, hold me, Chewie. Chewie!"

"Would it help if I got out and pushed?"

"Luke, at that speed do you think you'll be able to pull out in time?"

"Possible he came in through the south entrance."

"You're all clear kid. Now let's blow this thing and go home!"

"It didn't go in. It just impacted on the surface."

"Control, control...You must learn control."

"Sorry about the mess..."

"I thought that hairy beast would be the end of me!"

"Hey, Luke, thanks for coming after me -- now I owe you one."

Han Solo even sounds like a gay porn name.

Bow Chicka Bow Chicka Wahwahwahwahwahh! Bow Chicka Bow Chicka Wahwahwahwahwahwahh!!

"Hey there kid I'm Han Solo and this hairy Bear is Chewie, we've come to fix your Hyperdrive, I hear it's been... leaking. Is it hot in here?"

Anyone else think the newly added Anakin in ROTJ looks like a Backstreet Boy? Does this mean he, Obi-Wan and Yoda are American's newest boyband?

No, need to worry about limited amount of the just release Trilogy. There will more than enough around until the next Box set release.

I read - believe it was at DigitalBits - that Lucas WILL be releasing a Box set of all 6 DVDs in one box with more extras on it. Don´t know whether this is true or not.

But you can count on Lucas will milk every Star Wars fans down to their last Dollar. There is no question we will see many more box sets releases of all 6 movies. Make sure of that.

Oh there's no question we'll be seeing more releases. Especially if a new format is released in the next couple of years (Blue-Ray or something?). When III is released on DVD, we'll have the Saga set...only $150.00 made out to Mr. Lucas. I was just thinking, how about releasing the original versions as alimited release exclusive to Fan Club members? Hmmm...

It will come but not till 2007. I will buy these for $35 and sell it for $15 right before the Ultimate Editions come out. I consider $20 a worth price for three years of use. Expect a 6 movie 30th anniversery High Definition Ultimate set to come. Expect more extras including deleted scenes for the originals and expect additional changes to all six movies.

Speaking of used copies, I noticed a huge influx of video copies of the Not-So-Special Edition. Streetlight Records had at least ten boxsets on their buy table. Rasputin had numerous copies, especially widescreen one. Rasputin never recieves widescreen copies, they usually go to Streetlight. Also, SE copies outnumbered OT ones at least 3:1.
