As far as I know these are the most current releases. I’ve seen someone claim to have 3.0 version of 35mm Cinema DTS but haven’t been able to find any further info on it. I’m going to assume this person is mistaken (or trolling).

After watching 16:9 v2 for the first time today, I would have to say that 16:9 v1 is my preferred choice. I noticed that v1 Superwide has the exact same tweaks as the 16:9 v2.
As for the differences, v1 looks noticeably sharper to me than both v2 and Superwide, possibly due to the slight image clean-up that was done (don’t quote me on that). Colours are indeed slightly more washed in v1, but I found them perfectly acceptable. Another thing is the contrast change in v2. Personally, that change is a dealbreaker in which version I chose to rewatch. I found that contrast was already very good in v1. Not a fan of the boost here, at all.
These are just my own opinions, though, and I greatly appreciate all the time, effort, and money that has gone into this. It’s fantastic that we even have the choice. How do you guys feel about the releases, and which do you prefer ?

I’m trying to figure out what is the latest, “best” version of Jurassic Park (1993). As in, highest scan possible of either the OCN or a theatrical 35mm print, in the original color grading/timing and full (open matte) framing (I don’t mind seeing the boom mics entering the frame sometimes). There’s several threads going on about this subject.

Hi. All shots require passwords to be watched. Could you tell us the password for the shots?
V1 and 2 are the same scan, but more cleaning has been applied to v2. In my opinion, it is not better for it. Look at comparisons of both, and you will notice detail is lost in every frame.
Until we have a better scan, I would stick to v1 for both normal and open matte
